  • Max and I decided that we wanted to try some boat camping. We took a pontoon boat to Caladesi Island and spend the night. When we got back we thought it would be fun to make this video describing some of our camping and cooking techniques. We also wanted to share a bit about the Island and how we made some really cool discoveries.

Thank you for sharing your life living in now with your son. What a breath of fresh air. You’ve made my day ! And lately life has been hard to see the sunlight. What a ray of sunlight you have given the world.

It was a pleasure and privilege to watch this video. With all of the trash and profanity on CZcams, it is good to see a wholesome, family oriented video for a change. In an age where most people interact with their phone, TV, or video game console instead of their family, it is so refreshing to see a dad and his son enjoying each other's company, actually talking with each other instead of texting or communicating through social media, and simply enjoying gold old-fashioned quality time together. Although you spent less than 24 hours with your son on this over-nighter, the memories you made together will last him a lifetime. Long after you have gone on, he will look back and remember what a great time he had pontoon camping with his dad back in the spring of '19. Hopefully, he will do the same with his children as you have done with him. Seeing the smile on his face is worth more than anything money could ever buy and I'm sure you realize that. I literally had to wipe the tears from my eyes in more than one spot as I was overcome with emotion knowing how you must feel at that moment while enjoying life with your son on that empty stretch of beach. It's the love a father feels for his children when he surpasses the title of father and becomes a "dad". You did an outstanding job of capturing the emotion of the moment along with the beautiful scenery that went along with it. That is something even professional photographers struggle to do. I think it's a gift as opposed to a skill. You, sir, are truly deserving the honor of being called a dad. I thank you for sharing this video with me if no one else. I hope you continue to make good memories with your son. The world needs more dads like you.

I got to say it is good to see a dad who tells their child that they love them. Keep creating memories.

I had quite a few boats when I was younger and it’s something I’ve always wanted to do with my son (only child). I was closed-adopted at birth so my son is the only living blood relative that I’ve ever known. Yes we are close and he’s the center of my being.
I was finally financially able to buy a brand new Harris Tritoon about 2 months ago and we are having a blast on this thing. We have family time where the whole family goes and we set aside time every now & then for just Dad & Son trips. Thanks so much for sharing. Hopefully I will have some vids coming soon but it will need to be on a different channel due to uhhh some reasons. Lol

Amazing video! My family and I will soon be getting our first boat soon (pontoon) and currently live in St Petersburg. This video really inspired me and I can't wait to explore the various islands off of Florida. Thank you so much!

I introduced camping to my children when they were young and they are doing the same with their children. This is how Florida should be experienced.

Great video. Inspiring. We watched it and decided to take our Pontoon boat to Celadesi Island next day. We are new to boating, so it was an amazing place to mark our first day long boat trip. Very easy to reserve a space and walk to the beach. Amazing views, great facilities! Bring your own food... while there is a convenience store, prices are very high.

Can you tell us what size that bug net is is where you got it? I’d love to take the kids out but I think the mosquitoes would drive him crazy. Thanks in advance. Great video by the way. Building memories that will last a lifetime.

Those electrical plugs are 30 amps not volts. They're still 120 volts.
