FYI..in yesterday's vlogmas..you covered your paveway because you don't want the sand washed away. Actually..you WANT the rain to pack it down to an extent. Not a full on monsoon....but usually a hose is used to pack the sand down between pavers after brushing it in.

People actually water the bricks after swiping the sand between bricks.
As long as the edging is on all the way around. If it's not then it can wash away... learned that from experience.... I didn't get to finish and it unexpectedly rained and it wasn't much sand but I had to go get another bag to fill in the edge I was working on 😳🤦♀️
Polymeric sand does need water to set it.

Absolutely beautiful!! AMAZING JOB 👏🏼 Just a little tip.. The garland of lights that are out don’t remove them try replacing the little fuses in the plug first. There’s a tiny door that slides open! Usually it’s the fuse when all the lights go out 🫶🏼🎄

You can use battery operated lights for the wreath and little trees. They usually come with timers 6 hours on 18 hours off. Right now Michaels has them for like 40% off.

So pretty! Be sure to wrap each connection point of your outdoor lights with electrical tape (where one strand plugs into another). It helps protect them against water so that they last longer.

I used to put my pup on a lightweight leash when I was working outside.She would lay down and everyone was happy😊
But that cat is hanging around and pooping there. Not safe for Kinsley because she's so small, and even less safe if she managed to eat the cat's poo. Could make her extremely sick. 😔
@@cam-tv5rb I'd be actively discouraging the cat from hanging around. I have problems with cats pooing in my yard etc. It's not pleasant.

Maybe thrift a toddler playpen for doggie to use outside …she loves her momma❤
One of the smart things I found was putting the plug part in a cover . Couldn't found any so find a hack you use rubber lidded snack containers spot cut to let the male/female parts meet inside and the connection is out of rain. You can cover each part with just right stuff to make container look like a rock and spray paint it to finish it off. There are inline ones you can pay that are great ,but a small butter tube that is turned in to say a package or bow hidding it works also.

Looks so nice!! Just a tip from a florist - you should put the evergreen wreaths on the outside of the windows. The greens need cold temperatures to stay fresh. Give them a spray with water every day or two as well! :)
You can try a baby play area fence so she can be outside with you till rail is up.

I am glad that you finished a connection with that wire. Seeing that exposed wire without wire nuts made me worried. Having a dad as an electrician makes me hypervigilant of this like that.

McKenna, the kitties are loving your home, because Kinsley is inside most times AND ur garden is still sand.
Kitties are originally desert animals.
Most moisture etc is from prey and the sand their litter box.
So grateful that you're loving on them and accepting. ♥️♥️
Cats can have babes from 4mths, so perhaps a drive in ur town?
They are then most amazing pets but the antithesis of dogs.

Plugs for the little trees on the front porch you could find light bulb adaptors to run a cord from the porch lights as a temp fix. You always amazed me how much you have learned and tackled yourself from demo to wiring fixtures and outlets. Awesome awesome awesome!!!

Change the fuse on lights not burning. Inside the plug there is an extra fuse.
Beautiful so far the garland on the front fence is WOW !! You can get a nice rolling tool box/work bench at Home Depot or Lowes to store your tools from the weather..
best part? the sneak peek of the tile in the kitchen, even in the dark, I love it.

@@jenh9252 normally a hose would be used to dampen the sand as soon as it is put in between the blocks. But yes, too much rain would wash it away if the edging wasn't completed yet. My comment does say 'a little rain'.
Just a comment on covering your walkway. I am here in MN and I did our whole driveway and walkway up to our house and we never covered any part of it. It has been about 8 years with freezing rain and snow and also rain and it is just fine. At some point I know we will have to redo some of the sand. But when I live in an area that freezes and retracts and then freezes again - we are doing just fine. You have so many more projects please don’t worry about this one!

Christmas lights are the trickiest! Our house has 3 areas for electricity in our front. It’s a lifesaver. Adding more outlets is always a good idea!!

I use battery operated fairy lights for the door and small trees, also you can buy them with remote and then you can change the patterns of the lights.
SO LUCKY you have dry weather there. Monsoon season over here in West Malaysia, flooding in some areas... all those lights would BLOW 🫢
I think Romeo would've enjoyed hanging the lights with you, but he did gret help briging the stones for the walkway + he was kinda busy with the "all the things" stuff, we dont need no man right but them helping is always welcomed~~ 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻
