True story, I met my husband when he started working at my family's hardware store. We were both young divorcees and I had a son he eventually adopted. It was love at first sight. Today is our 37th anniversary. It hasn't been a Hallmark movie, but it's been a love story.

OMG, "I am a Prince!". Hysterical! You guys pretty much nailed it, Christmas cookies, single dad, large cups of hot cocoa, corporate takeover, I love it.
The kids' lines -- and their perfectly imperfect delivery of them -- were a wonderful spice for me in this one. "I have no issues with that whatsoever!" And of course Pen and Kim were superb, as always.
His wife left him. Cuz pressures of being royal and all.

Here's how much we love these -- my husband called my phone from a different room in the house to tell me that there was a new Hallmark Movie from the Holderness family. We were so excited about this new CZcams development that now we are examining our life choices. But -- we LOVE these. They are hilarious. Penn in a wig never disappoints, and the addition of the kids was great!
Penn in a wig is like watching a train wreck. I hate that I'm looking but I can't look away. lol

Yes!!!! My husband and daughter give me grief for watching Hallmark movies, but they never leave the room if I am watching them....just saying. Lol!!! I agree, we all need the stability and predictability. It also makes me want to move to Canada.

I don't remember much about Canada (I've been there once on a family vacation, but that was when I was little). However, I do love small town settings especially on the East Coast.
BTW, i'm not dissing Canada; some of those settings do resemble the East Coast. I like that.

You need a perky grandma that does nothing but bake Christmas cookies or collects toys for the local orphanage.
The only thing missing is the weird long curls that the leading ladies wear. Go check them out. My daughter and I discuss the fact that the hair and make up only have one curling iorn.

To be fair the long lightly curled hair is done on most females in tv and movies i read its for continuity for shots since its fairly obvious when hair changes when its straight but when its lightly curled its not really noticable if it moves because the curls give it a natural movement and busyness and they can easily recurl it to keep it that half curled half straight look.
Its one thing you cant unsee once you know about the half curled hair on women in media. Especially leading ladies. If theyre hairs down it oretty much gaurenteed

Not only am I sobbing tears of dramatic overkill but I've also taken the liberty of dispatching Lassie the Wonder dog to the set location to warn the whole town of the simulated impending doom. Beyond that you guys have managed to nail your lines as usual and I'm inclined to believed there's some type of CZcams screen actors guild award waiting for you somewhere down the line. If I didn't know any better I'd swear you all were related in real life. Once again my emotions have been toyed with,perhaps bamboozled by a masterfully well written mind game of cat and mouse. Still another one: Hallmark has been doing lots of Prince movies where some prince meets a commoner and marries her, but not without the Queen and royal former ex-fiances trying to ruin the plans and ruin the relationship between the Prince and his Commoner girlfriend.
The only thing that could make this more accurate is naming her Kate.

Yes, the one Hallmark movie about where the 1st Thanksgiving occurred in Plymouth, Massachusetts. I think it was called "The Thanksgiving House".
And a Halloween movie, and to save the farm Movie, and let’s go camping Movie, not to mention the let’s go hiking to find out we aren’t compatible so I can meet up with the guy who has the cabin in the woods and help him fix it up even though that is a Christmas movie. Name that last movie and win the prize!!!!

Available to view for free with commercials on Vudu because no one does who do you like you do, (bonus question) now here’s a brain teaser, what movie was that last line from. It’s a romantic comedy but an oldie.
The whipped cream part was so awkward but I couldn’t look away 🤣
The fake snow was a good touch. You can always tell it's warm as hell wherever they are and the actors are probably sweating their asses off under all those layers.
That magical moment where you've just watched Part 1 and see that Part 2 is already up. Keep em coming! Don't forget about the "quirky, my life is falling apart but I'm hot and didn't know it until my rugged childhood sweetheart looked at me" trope

There's always an event too. The *Insert Holiday* Jubilee/Festival/Parade/Fundraiser. Both the leads somehow have all this time to work together on an event because their jobs/lives are so flexible. :)

No wine glasses in Hallmark movies- cocoa and coffee! Wine glasses are Netflix “Hallmark like” movies. I have never seen so much wine! (Unless the Hallmark couple own a vineyard!😉)

@@amytarvin2776 Cancelled satellite TV, so no Hallmark movies here this year. Tried the Netflix versions: SO bad we couldn't make it through one yet, usually because there is only one really capable actor, and we spend the time cringing at the acting that is just like this parody. But, yes; wine noted. Maybe that's why the acting is so bad? :-) :-)

Love this! Our daughter told me once she couldn't watch Hallmark movies because they were all so predictable, and I remember thinking, so what's the problem lol? Of course they are!
I love you guys! I loved you already, but knowing that you still love Hallmark movies, even though we always know what's going to happen, and some of the schtick is so predictable, it's silly -- but there is something about them that keeps us coming back! You've captured the essence of them so well!

Did nobody else notice during the whipped cream scene when she was finished cleaning him up her hand was totally clean? That was the best part! Also can't wait for the musical... if you get bored lampooning hallmark, perhaps lifetime channel next? Also congrats on getting the whole family involved. Don't forget that sometimes the male lead is a troubled vet, or drives an old beat up truck but is secretly wealthy for no reason whatsoever..
You forgot the golden retriever bringing the couple together. Cue your pup becoming a star!
I know I've asked this before but, do those kids get heat from their friends for doing this.
Also, its good to see those sickly, sloppy and prim "feel good " holiday t.v. movies being sent up.
I think their kids are really into it and other kids see that and don't harass them and Penn's kids would probably tell them take a hike.

Can you do the one where one of them works at an animal shelter, and all of the pets have to be adopted before Christmas so that they don't have to be euthanized; and some mysterious family heirloom is found that somehow connects people together; and the elderly grandmother has Alzheimer's and people recreate the Christmas she had when she was 10 years old and she miraculously is cured and remembers everything?
