@@Dylan-en4wg I absolutely think there should be a psychological evaluation of a person. For example, if someone is bipolar and having a manic episode, they shouldn’t be allowed cosmetic plastic surgery when they’re manic. It’s like getting a tattoo but much more permanent and invasive. Tattoo artists have a right, actually an obligation, to make sure their client is safe, sane, and consenting. It should be the safe for doctors, but even more strict. If you need doctors’ evaluation to take prescription medication and to medically transition, it should be the same for cosmetic surgery.
Well about the working out to look good Vs to be stronger- I often have this issue as a swimmer I need arm muscles but also the muscles on the underside or your arm. Also for me personally I am faster when very slightly "over weight" in the lower stomach area (but still have to have strong abs/core) so basically I spend hours each day to do all the work but still don't get to look good
I was going to say, it's clear the plastic surgery gave her even more of the wrinkles she wanted to get rid of until she hit the point she's in on the picture, she must regret it badly and I feel so bad for her.
I see where Ken is coming from with being impatient with weight loss/gaining muscles, but Felix also makes a point about how rewarding it is once you get to your goal. That's what's encouraging me to continue my low cal diet, because seeing myself start to slim down more and more every month would be exciting. Having weight loss surgery scares me too since they shrink your stomach (which sounds very unnatural) and I'd rather still be able to eat whatever I wanted under a calorie limit so, definitely going through the natural way sounds way better (and less expensive).

@@zhain0 sure, no problem. I had injection lipolysis and some thread lifting done on my face. They’re considered very low risk procedures, otherwise I definitely wouldn’t even have considered it. I did it because I had a rather round face and chubby cheeks my entire life, even when I was very underweight at one point, the fat on my face would always stay and not budge at all. I never liked how it looked and my confidence took a hit because of it. I got older and went through puberty and all that, but it still wouldn’t go away. I would never let anyone take photos of me unless it was absolutely necessary and I didn’t like looking in the mirror. It’s also important to note that I never hated my whole face, it was just this one part that was really annoying and bothersome to me. I also never felt pressured by social media or anything like that. And even though people I‘m close to said they didn’t mind my face, I still decided to go through with the procedures, because after all, I did it for myself and because I wanted to get this weight off my shoulders that’s been holding me back as I felt like. Plastic surgery or really any sort of body modification is definitely a touchy subject often overlooked. I think the best thing to remember that the end goal in general is to make people's lives happier. Sure, if you can avoid changing anything then cool but for some ppl that's just not possible. Ken brought up a good point and for some things yes that happens. If you know beyond the shadow of a doubt that doing something like transitioning will make life happier or even bearable then go for it. Therapy helps to assure this

I dont agrew with doing anything yourself without seeing a doctor, your general practitioners etc
Problem is psychiatrists are all on board for body mutilation, if it involves a certain type of dysmorphia...
