First time I heard this was on Sirius XM's Bluegrass Junction. I was pulling into a Walmart parking lot and couldn't turn it off. Sat there in the car singing harmony on the vocals and groovin to the banjo. Hit the replay button 5 or 6 times in a row. The banjo IS bluegrass. It's the essence, the soul of bluegrass--when played and recorded correctly. I could listen to this all day, every day.
That deep baritone voice seems to so perfectly compliment the sound of the banjo.

After seeing Noam in Monmouth, OR in 2016 I had a snippet of this song in my head for weeks, but I couldn't remember enough of it to even hum it or figure out what it was called. FINALLY that itch has been scratched, thanks mate
Incredibly soulful. I love how the upper range of the banjo can sound so optimistic when the tone of the singing is so melancholy.

Wow his smoky voice goes really well with banjo. Never knew he could sing. Always loved his playing now just more to enjoy. Would love to hear him do a banjo version of some of Johnny Lee Hooker's stuff (imagine a Pikelny version of Boom Boom!)
