Here's another owners opinion: There's absolutely nothing wrong with the bracelet, in fact quite the contrary. I own quite a lot of watches, have tested even more, and I have never ever come across more comfortable bracelet in my whole life. It is just incredibly comfortable and light. I have way more expensive Swiss made watches in my collection and their bracelets may well be sturdier and chunkier and more expensive - but as bracelets - they are actually worse. I often change them right away to leather or nato straps, just because they are so heavy, unforgiving and painful to wear long times.

The whole idea of the new MTG and the rest of the new g shock line is to make it lighter, and more durable using high end components with the carbon core tech material while being cost efficient. Its all about comfortability while being tough like titanium to stainless steel. The MR-G is more focused on thickness of the material using all stainless steel using high end parts. That's why its so expensive. The MTG is it's little brother.

I have this watch, it's stunning. I don't agree with the views on the bracelet, i think it's actually very good. I have never felt it was cheap

Great points and good visuals up close and on wrist. I am waiting for the blacked out version with the black rubber strap similar to your MTG1000. I agree with your concerns regarding the new bracelet. The MTG1000 is much harder to read although I like its thickness better. However, it does not have a hands move feature.

Finally a vid of MTG I'm eyeing on, not sure if should take it because stock image usually makes it look very good, seeing it in videos now I want it.

I just got the B1000 (the same one you used for comparison) while comparing them with the newer B2000 at the local store. Yes, the B1000 have smaller than usual G-Shock dimensions (smaller than my Rangeman & Gravity Defier) but that is good news to me as i have a small wrist.

Good video. I have the Bordeaux version and the blue one. The bracelet has raised centre links, unlike the B1000 bracelet. I don't like the black rectangles either. Ugly. The clasp on mine was rattly and Casio told me was normal. I ended up using Sellotape to stop the little crossbar moving. I still love the watch though. Thanks for the video. You would probably also like the new analogue Frogman, which uses a similar or identical module. I now have 3. All the best. One correction: the MRG watches are made of titanium. Maybe that's why they don't use the resin in the bracelet.

I have the newer b3000 which has a very similar bracelet. It's nicely finished but i agree about the rattling. There's a lot of movement between the links and the b3000 also has quick release end links which don't help. Not sure if it designed that way to aid comfort because it is very comfortable on wrist. The shell of the clasp is a real weak point and today I noticed that there was a clinking noise coming from the lock mechanism. I took it apart and fettled the assembly and now it's fine. Not something you would expect to do on a $1000 watch though.🤷‍♂️

Hey good video and thanks for your thoughts on this watch. I was really into it, but I came across the newer Frogman GWFA1000-1A2 and now I’m unsure which one to get. I’m leaning towards The Frog, is $200 less, but in my opinion looks a lot better than the MTG. The bracelet on this watch it’s truly disappointing for sure though.
