Don't like the video? If you would be so kind as to
FUCK OFF, it would be very much appreciated.
You don't have to watch any of Dan's videos.
Great info
Dan Lok Love your videos Dan, excellent knowledge from sifu Quintero.👍 This is very similar to a step kick done in karate using the same principle we call a foot replacement.
Great video!
Think this guy one best jkd instructors so quick love way he attacks knees,I like savate because attack the knees that’s where Bruce lee got it from,I think side stance is best stance too can attack very quickly and defend very quickly, think when people have like a Thai or straight forward stance very slow footed yes might be able to generate more power but they move back so slow,
Teach something 'bout Handling the Chi.✌👊🖐
Sifu octavio moves so well man, fluid, economic, and efficient, this is JKD
Looks a bit gay
Dan, excellent videos. I had trained with a person whom his friend was under Lee in early 70s in wing Chung when Bruce was transitioning to JKD. I was a teenager then and purchased every book and material that I could after Bruce Lee’s death. I practiced daily for hours and became very good. I would constantly analyze his material so that I could benefit from his knowledge.
I’m now in my early 60s and still trying to train again after a lay off period.
Your videos are right on and inspiring please keep them coming.
Nick
This is the most accurate teaching of JKD that actually incorporates Bruce Lee's philosophies. Sifu Octavio trains every inch of every motion correctly, keeping the center-line/control. I would say this is the best place to learn online 😎
Bruce Lee was so far ahead of his time. He could have blown anyone away back in the day and today too.! Great Octavio!
You think Bruce Lee could beat a heavyweight mma fighter 😂
@@ydjbdhjeje7272 Yes, In a street fight no problem.
Hahaha hahahaha Francis Ngaou would destroy him with one hit its all show even his death
@@ydjbdhjeje7272 Can Francis jump 8 feet in the air and punch 8 times in one second?
@@lightlysal don't believe Hollywood
Thanks a lot sifu. Octavio Quintero...
This master really speed and efficient...after BRUCELEE with awesome philosophies of BRUCELEE...!
And thank you Dan Lok for sharing those incredible JKD systems 🙏
Thank you! Both! This will be added to my regimen list of daily training, 5 minutes per day. I really enjoy learning/train multi-effective techniques. Have a great day!
Keep it up.
I really liked that he said cover it up with a follow-up hit. When I tried doing it, retreat or a backstep was really tough, and my position left me vulnerable with my Lead Arm down to the side.
A philosopher and JKD Master - Bruce Lee left us too early but his legacy and teachings will forever live on. Excellent demonstration of the speed and power of JKD!! - thanks Dan for sharing this with all.
Can only dream how much more, and how much more refined, JKD would be by now had Bruce not died. :(
Nancy Cousintine So true.
Absolutely fantastic demonstration of one of Bruce Lee's most advanced footwork techniques. Sigong Quintero is amazing! He does the JKD world proud. Bruce has got to be smiling down at him.
Curtis Gleaves It was absolutely Phenomenal. :D
*Awesome!*
This video covered a lot of things like distance, attack, retreat, core, footwork, and drills.
Dean Natuno what martial arts do you study?
*Jdjs Duck head,* Taekwondo, Boxing, Jeet Kune Do, Arnis and MMA.
But as of now, focusing on Boxing.
Great way of teaching steps on attacks rather than continuous attack without showing the process step by step.
we do a very similar step in fencing, and you see this type of covering strike to protect the recovery in historic sword manuals as well. It's really amazing how everything ties together, more and more I see that there really is one art.
Bruce did study fencing actually so yeah this is probably how he got it
i believe his older brother was into fencing & he learned it from him.
Yes you are all right,Lee did like fencing very much especially for it's footwork.he put it in his system too better his and his students footwork and it worked out perfectly.
Probably because Bruce Lee took some fencing techniques to create JKD.
Thug Lincoln Exactly! :D
Discovered you through your consulting videos and just found you again on a JKD search. So sick man! Keep spreading your knowledge in all its forms, brother. We are appreciative.
I watched shifu octavio's videos and really this kick I was desperately wanted to learn, thanks both of you for providing such wonderful tools!
If I am not mistaken this man was a student of Ted Wong. It's on record that Ted Wong had spent a very good amount of personal time learning martial arts from Bruce Lee in private and trained under Bruce as one of his most advanced student's in the art of JKD. Of course Wong is one among few students who received original certification from Bruce to teach JKD and just like his teacher/master Wong also placed a particular emphasis on using FOOT WORK to perfect his craft!
Correction, he was a student of jerry poteet
@@riversdarrell2000 true. i saw him referred to as 1 of jerry's leading students, during an interview w/jerry. & he was doing this very technique.
Amazing and detailed video.Thanks!
I think the one advantage I have had in learning JKD and kyokushin, as well as when I did boxing was that I was a fencer for about 5 years and learned to be very quick as well as learning how deceptive footwork can be for your opponent when looking at how to open up a target area
great video series, Dan.
Came here right from Broken Rhythm. I really appreciate the beginner drills, very enlightening. I aspire to work these movements into my HIIT training. Thank you!
You're so TALENTED, TRAINOR, TEACHER, AND MENTOR TO BE AS EVIDENT , I SALUTE YOU MY BROTHERS! BRAVOS,! I'VE LEARNED SO MUCH EVEN THOUGH I HAVEN'T EXPERIENCE ANYONE ANY ADVERSARY TO DEAL WITH! BUT I COULD PERCEIVED IT IS ALSO A GREAT HELP AND A PROPERLY MANNER TO PERFORM IT. YOU'RE BEYOND EXCELLENCE MY BROTHERS!
Liked this demo so much, I subbed. Mr. Quintero does a great job showing the pendulum.
I love your way of life Dan.
Thank you.
Interesting...will try this soon👍
Excellent work gentlemen!
Great job gentlemen.
Another great video. Thank u.
Great breakdown! Thanks!
I’m definitely gonna try to work on this
That Bruce Lee intro is too cool... Better than Marvel.
Agreed

Great Lesson, Use my hips! Your down to earth examples enable me to do what I couldn't do. Thanks
Lol-I thought Octavio's speed was superhuman but then remembered I had the 1.25 playback speed on… Still amazingly fast but!
Thanks Guys for the lesson! Greetings from Uruguay.
Thanks Mr.Dan
Octavio is so Awesome, thank you for this information.
That guy is lightning fast, unbelievable. Moves just like Bruce did, so glad I found this channel
That was awesome!
Even in slow motion its difficult to catch all the chain. So graceful like he's dancing, and clearly knows how to weight shift well. That body control is simply amazing. Man i gotta train for a while before i can do even one of those kicks succesfully. Great explanation! Feels almost like learning an instrument gotta find that beat.
Awesome lesson & video, Dan. As always, Thank You very much.
Great video!
This video was thoroughly explained about JKD Pendulum step.
It was worth the wait!
Would love to see more videos like this about attack and retreat.
Can you also add JKD COMBOS for street effective/real-life situation?
Thank you so much to both of you!
Welcome.

Bruce Lee pendulum kick has always been one for my favourite... Love it,
I practice traditional Chinese kungfu these video help with improving my ways of understanding the art of weight shifting from left to right and balance between the two legs.
The JKD Signature kick! Valeu amigo.

Awesome video like the breakdown and simple explanation.
Very Interesting! After some work of 1 of your previous videos, JKD Footwork, will try and practice this.
Thanks a lot Dan and Sifu Quintero
Awesome clip.
When I saw this the foot work slowed down, it reminded me of ballroom dancing. The I remembers Bruce Lee's was an excellent dancers also !
He was a Cha Cha dance champion.
This is gold!! I subscribe!!

Dan Lok I enjoy how you put your videos together. Furthermore I love Martial arts, I've been keeping myself involved in it for a lifetime. I seldom find useful information pertaining to JKD keep these videos going. It would be great if you could show some advanced content for others to advance their training. Thanks again for your hard work.

Mind boggling.

¡Great video!
Love the videos. Would be amazing to learn from you
Very nice nice👊
thank u a lot for your videos about jkd i learned many thinks
This is a great instructional video. I was practicing the Side kick you have covered in another video, but it is difficult getting the timing and the speed. I believe I should at least get decent in the pendulum step if I want to have a good side kick.
This video is very very nice and I love Bruce Lee and his jkd ,I hope sir you are make on many jkd tacnics video
Great explanation! I used to train with Sifu Quintero during seminars in Germany. Would you consider doing a video on "Stealing a step" and " Broken rhythm attacks"? That would be much appreciated!
