  • She used to feel absolutely terrified about telling people about her Alopecia Areata, but has since learned a lot about how to tell people and feel confident doing so. Here are some of the main tips she recommends:
🌟 When you tell people, make sure to cover the main questions - What is Alopecia Areata? Is it contagious? Is there a cure?
Do it in a safe and neutral place
Make sure people know that they can ask you questions if they have them🌟 When you talk to people about it, be confident and open about the condition.
🌟 Have a stable network of people who support you, especially for the moments you are feeling nervous or overwhelmed
🌟 Build your inner confidence and resilience so you are not destroyed when people don’t react how you’d hoped
🌟 Give people information not just about the condition, but also about what you might be going through emotionally
🌟 If you’re feeling nervous - you can always make a joke to lighten the mood!
🌟 “Be bold, be bald, be you!”
