- Clips from the first four Season Two episodes of Wild Wild West. These four episodes might very well represent the greatest collection of entertaining villains that ever appeared on television--each of them portrayed by an excellent character actor who brought just the right level of Ham to the roles:
"Night of the Eccentrics" 9/16/66--Victor Buono as Count Manzeppi
"Night of the Golden Cobra" 9/23/66--Boris Karloff as Mr. Singh
"Night of the Raven" 9/30/16--Michael Dunn as Dr. Loveless
"Night of the Big Blast" 10/7/16--Ida Lupino as Dr. Faustina

Michael Dunn was my favorite villian on this show. The fact that he would still address you with kindness and politeness just as he was about to seal the fate of West and Gordon,........great acting.
I agree, he was my favorite too. I saw him in a Bonanza episode where he played a newly widowed father of a newborn. He was superb in the role. He was a very talented man.
R.I.P to the legendary actor Robert Conrad. His show The Wild Wild West was one of my favorite TV shows growing up. He will be missed but he will live forever through his show.
zzzzzzz.....

One of the most entertaining westerns in television history.
Vastly underrated series way ahead of its time. Dunn's Loveless ans Buono's Count Manzeppi were beyond brilliant. Bob Conrad also underrated.
A count for 2 Wests…. Buono also played King Tut in Adam West’s Batman.
Ahead of its time? How?
@@jonhohensee3258 As a James Bond "spoof" and literally invented "steam punk"
@@worldsgreatestimpressionis6462 What's your proof that it invented steam punk? I don't think it's a spoof of Bond.
@@jonhohensee3258 Do the research. It IS a spoof of Bond as was Get Smart of nearly the same Era. Television historians have denoted it as the
precursor of Steam Punk
Rest In Peace, Robert Conrad. Such a wonderful actor. The Wild Wild West was a part of my childhood.
Mine too...I had a crush on him.
Mine, too.
mine too along with maverick every Sunday afternoon
Oh yes. I loved him too. So handsome!! I was young too but thought I would marry him some day:):)
Shock Semler Me too! Thanks everyone for the nice comments.
Robert Conrad has gone to join Ross Martin in the Wild Wild West in the sky. Just one more icon of my past gone but he did leave lasting memories . Thanks Robert.
Amen to that, my friend. They will surely be missed.
They are doing "The Wild Wild West" in heaven.
Dr. Loveless was the Best Villain on this series....EVER.
Hands down!!
Dr. Loveless, along with the Joker, and Darth Vader are among the best villains in ALL of fiction.
I had the good fortune to be on the set of WIII when Michael Dunn guest starred- one of only ten times he appeared in the show.
Dr. Loveless was the best TV villain of all time. In my opinion.
@@mjw1955 The scenes with Michael Dunn and Robert Conrad were just excellent. He proved to be a great adversary in his 10 appearances on "WWW."
Heavy duty. Michael Dunn, Victor Buono, Richard Pryor, Boris Karloff, and groundbreaking director and actress, Ida Lupino. Even more impressive in retrospect.
Sparky Always remember Victor as King Tut on Batman & his appearances on Johnny Carson.
Ida Lupino a Great unsung Talent.
I didn't recognize Pryor. Thank you
@@LuciFeric137I did, went to comments for confirmation
Count Manzeppi humming "Ride of the Valkyries" as he leaves the room is hilarious.
Oh my gosh.... there's a tiger - and an elephant - in the room.
Yeah caught that too. All very campy but great
Dr loveless was the best of the villains in the wild wild west great character actor...
This show made Friday night even more special.
RIP Robert Conrad,This show was family night for me miss those days
Bill Gallegos yes, it was family night for many, many people.
Rest In Peace Robert Conrad! Thank you for all the great memories!
Victor Buono was really good at playing the heavy/villain. He knocked it out of the park every time IMO.
Always loved the colour schemes as well as the villains.
I'm a 21 year old and I've been watching the show ever since I was 12!
Srikesh Srinivas you are one special cool dude, I truly admire you 🙌, I wish their were more like you Srikesh...well anyhow too bad for them and good for you, Kudos to you 👍👍
@@rafaelramirez3180 lol
The show was made for 12 year olds
You've watched the best Western series ever!
I watched all 4 seasons and every episode last month and fell in love with Robert Conrad he was the most good looking man, together with Ross Martin RIP!!
Poor Doctor Loveless. He would always have a beautiful moll ... who would invariably fall for James West. No wonder he hated West so much.
Michael Dunn was, hands down, the greatest villain on The Wild, Wild, West. My Dad and little Brother always looked forward to His appearance on the show!
I am sad there are only ten. He was amazing as Loveless!
You summed up my feelings exactly. Dr. Miguelito Loveless was the best and Dunn was great in his portrayal.
completely agree
I'd even go so far as to say he was one of television's greatest very villains. An evil genius of the highest order (stature excepted--lol), and he had all those great duets with Antoinette as a bonus! czcams.com/video/4pCLBfdKTcI/video.html
"I'm sorry Mr. West I am going to have to kill you."
RIP Robert Conrad, you'll not be forgotten. 2/8/2020
Dr. Loveless seems to be the winner and I agree. I loved James West's uniform and the tailored fit, one of my favorite shows growing up.
Yes, this was one of my favorites
... along with Star Trek ;)
i knew i was gay too when i watched him every week.
Sometimes it was stupid silly but I loved this show. It made my imagination come to life when I was young. Jules Verne for television. 1960's writing for the medium but still, well done.
Yes! Jules Verne - good observation.
It was the early 60s
Mr.West and Mr.Gorden best Secret Sevice agents ever.job welldone.
I love the small guy (Michael Dunn). He makes me laugh so hard. His character is the best.
He was funny in ' No way to treat a lady ' where New York was gripped with fear over a serial killer that strangled women . Michael walks into the Police station to confess for the murders of 6 women , worth watching the short clip.
@@garywood9525 he was funny n Games Of Throngs .
Dr. Lovelace...
Mm
My favorite show growing up
the villains of WWW are in two categories: Miguelito Loveless and then the rest
boogerie My thoughts exactly!!
Loveless, le comte Manzetti et, le reste.
Yeah!!! He was my favorite villan on this great show!!!! Unfortunately they don't make great shows like this anymore!!!!
Loveless was the BEST! And he was Mr. Big on Get Smart.
loveless, the guy victor buono played (who like loveless always escaped pity they only used him twice)
then the rest
R.I.P. Robert Conrad who passed away today February 8, 2020.
really sad I loved the www when I was younger and his role in jingle all the way RIP
I loved his character. He died just before the China virus "plan"demic. RIP my childhood friend.
@ Robert Conrad - you were the coolest guy on TV.
Just saw Robert Conrad died, loved watching this show as a kid and as an adult. Conrad also played is a show called blacksheep. RIP Sir.
Ba ba BLACK SHEEP was a great show !
The irony here is that Boris Karloff is playing an Indian character, when his family background was actually Anglo-Indian.
I was thinking the same thing
A hero is nothing without a worthy adversary to keep him on his toes and few TV shows can match "The Wild, Wild West", from the 1960's for the outstanding quantity and quality of scene stealing baddies!
Loved it when Michael Dunn twirled the pistol. ...As Dr Migilito Loveless, he may have been the greatest TV villan of all time!
Wow, this really takes me back. Used to watch after school, hated to miss an episode. Dr. Loveless had the perfect evil laugh.
Rip Mr Conrad....My boy hood hero
Count Manzeppi was my favorite. Victor Buono was one of the drollest thespians who ever lived, could make reading a phone book into a dramatic tour de force. He should have been in more episodes. Some of the other villains I liked who don't appear here are Edward Anderson as Brane and Jeff Corey as Captain Coffin. I wish Vincent Price could have shown up, he would have been perfect!
Dozier could afford Price for Batman (Egghead, anyone?) in those days, no telling why these guys couldn't or wouldn't.
I also really liked Manzeppi. He appeared twice during the second season. He was the show's only reoccurring villain, other than Loveless. Based on what I've read, there were changes behind the scenes for the third season and the new power-that-be didn't care for Manzeppi, so we never saw him again.
Buono did appear in the More Wild Wild West reunion film years later, but he played a different character. I wish it had been Manzeppi.
You also notice that Count Manzeppi always seemed to be just a step ahead of West at nearly every turn, and also didn't suffer from the same egotism and frustration complex that plagued Dr. Loveless.
@@calvinkatt662 he also appeared in the first episode of WWW
Boris Karloff, wonderful actor!
Richard Pyror as the ventriloquist???
Yes, it is.
Many years before Richard Pryor reinvented himself as a great stand up comic he served the same role on the Merv Griffin show as Ed McMann did on the Johnny Carson show.
YES! Richard Pryor! We all have to get work somehow. I remember Victor Buono as "Juan Manolo" in the first episode! Of course we can't forget Micheal Dun as Dr. Loveless!
Is it Rip Torn one of the 3 sons of Boris Karloff?
I believe the dummy's voice was Ross Martin
Robert Conrad was probably one of the most athletic actors in television history. It is amazing to watch the choreographed fight scenes. He was in Tip-Top shape and he really showed it off when he would climb and do all kinds of physically challenging things seemingly at ease. Interesting to watch how he went from a martial arts fighter in season 1 to a fist fighter in Seasons 2 to 4. He also had a character change from season 1 forward. There was a lot of females falling for him and kissing him and season 1 and that pretty-much faded except for maybe seven or eight episodes in every other season. What a great transition from the black-and-white days to season 2 to 4 in color. Both Conrad and Martin we're dressed very sharply but especially Conrad with his three-piece colorful suits. There's never been another actor who relied on his physicality so much and was able to pull it off with seemingly ease. I think that's why the movie version with such a disappointment.. they could never find another motion picture actor they could do all the stunts and the fight scenes that he did. I wonder if anybody will ever try again so we can wash the memories of the poorly conceived Wild Wild West movie from our memories. I did think that Kevin Kline was a good choice as Artemus Gordon.
Boris Karloff and Richard Pryor...cool.
I can remember watching this as a kid . I loved this show as a kid I got a Jim West belt buckle that held a secert derringer with a hidden button that popped it open and would fire a cap . I still to this day hum the West tneme when I have something concealed in my pocket. I have all but the 4th season on disc .
The Wild Wild West had some of the weirdest and most interesting villains, ever. R.I.P. Robert Conrad.
It was an absolute pleasure to relive each of these episodes, the incredible creativity of each of the villains and the dry retort of James Conrad to their taunts. How I miss good tv! Thank you fine
sir, for posting this!
You mean james west or robert conrad
Ah, I'd forgotten just how over the top this great old show was. Haven't seen it since it originally aired (which tells you how old I am). Great villains, great characters, great concept, great "kink," and I especially love Pryor as that surprise guest in the 1st clip before he went full-on to do stand up. The producers always claimed they were semi-scrupulous about only using technology that actually existed in that era, (obviously they fudged it a little bit) but it was always a great concept. Also amusing in that 1st clip how the low special effects budget shows because once the camera moves the glow from the light bulbs on the floor disappears completely.
I still remember as a young child in the 70's growing up and being fascinated by this series and it's stories along with Hogan's Heroes!! My mother would tell me as a teen in the very early 80's that these two shows were the only 2 shows I would stop wherever I was doing 5 mins before the show's started, sit down in front of the TV, and patiently wait as I watched quietly through the entire episodes. Now in my mind 50's, I realize just how imaginative these two series and thier stories really were! I espically remember the character of Dr Loveless! One of not THE most memorable villains in all of TV history for me! Now my 12yr old and 17yr old sons look at these series and thier episodes as very boring and dated. Yet today I still get to remember and feel like a young boy again as I get to watch all these episodes from these two shows on You Tube all these years later.. Rest in peace Michel Dunn, Robert Conrad and Bob Crane! You three actors will always have a fond place in my childhood heart for the rest of my days! Thank you for helping me feel those feelings again all these many years later!👍😃
R.i.p Robert Conrad
"Agnes Morehead played Emma Valentine, who sent deadly valentines to her enemies."-😮.🌐📱🌐.

LOVE ❤️ THIS SERIES .!!!! . ACTION & ADVENTURE.!!!! . & GOOD ACTING . !!!! . 😎🇺🇸😎👍..
Batman's King Tut!
Yup.
A little-known fact the public didn't know during Boris Karloff's lifetime: he actually WAS of Anglo-Indian ancestry, like Merle Oberon.
Avatar610 regardless,, Boris Karloff is by far my favorite actor also he was one heck of gentleman, so be it Indian or British he's without a doubt, one true top notch gentleman
@@rafaelramirez3180 Something common to both nations!
I love the fantastic word play going on in this series, sadly, many shows today don’t use this anymore, this is the height of camp and whoever said that TV in the 60s at least rots the brain, well watch this show and that is clearly not the case.
AS A KID GROWING UP , I LOVED WATCHING THIS SHOW. PRESENT DAY WATCHING RERUNS THE ACTING AND STORY LINE IS SO CORNY . MET ROBERT CONRAD A FEW YEARS AGO OUTSIDE A RESTAURANT IN ASPEN CO. SUPER NICE GUY
Ida Lupino!
This show was like Gun Smoke on acid.
This was a fantastic show. I loved this when I was a kid! RIP Robert Conrad.
I'm a long time fan of the "Wild,Wild West;enjoyed episode clips! Brought back great memories.
James T. Kirk's ancestor, 400+ years earlier.
Lots of simularitys to STAR TREK.Had many of the same guest stars and CONRADS partner allways reminded me of DR.MACOY.In that western scene when he says to CONRAD "He's right Jim",The STAR TREK vibes are strong !!
Jeff Tappan I like the way you think :)
I love how Jim West´enemies are bent with his destruction
The man was it. I do not believe any one else can top it.
My compliments. I think your estimation of Dr. Loveless was well done indeed. I really enjoyed the Wild Wild West, t.v. series. Thank you for bringing back fond memories.
One of the greatest TV shows ever produced!! My best childhood with all of these shows!
One of the scariest villains in the B&W episodes was John Dehner's "terminator" like figure. Years before Arnold's Terminator. "The Night of the Steel Assassin" where Dehner's imposing character Torres was a man built of steel and virtually bullet proof even his face.
It was great because in this episode even West appeared scared when Torres was impervious to bullets. A well-written episode also -- the end -- no spoiler -- has a twist and is quite good in only "The Wild, Wild West" could be. The TV show also managed to secure some top rated actors and actresses from both motion pictures and TV: Michael Dunn ("Ship of Fools" nominated for an Academy Award); Robert Duvall; Boris Karloff; Agnes Moorehead; Ida Lupino; Patrice Munsell (opera singer); Carroll O'Connor (before "All In the Family") and Victor Buono and countless others. It was during this time that stars as big as John Wayne made the rounds of tv shows. You don't see that today.
John Dehner is really underrated. Hell of an actor.
Let's not forget Voltaire Dr. Loveless' man played by Richard Kiel!
Gran actor Victor Buono.😃👀👍🌅🌌🌈🌅🌌🌈
RIP Mr Robert Conrad. May your Soul Rest in perfect Peace.
They don't write smart ass script any more ,like they did in the wild wild west tv show . Robert Conrad was the guy back in the 60's .Now you can R.I.P
Robert Conrad was a man! By his own account, those tight pants they made him wear hurt him. Ouch! But he was a trooper. I loved his Chicago accent. RIP Mr. Conrad. Ross Martin, you were a brilliant actor as well. Michael Dunn, Victor Buonno, thank you.
I think I've posted before but I use to love this show. It would've been cool if they did a two part episode with Dr.Loveless, Count Manzeppi, Emma Valentine , Tycho all teaming up to get revenge on West and Gordon. A Legion of Doom so to speak. Ahh the things that could have been.
A " golden era", Wild Wild West, Batman, Get Smart, The Untouchables, Laugh -In, Flip Wilson, Smothers Brothers, Twilight Zone,we were thoroughly distracted!
Looking back, this series was kinda "Steam Punky." Sad to hear he just died. His co-star died a long time ago.

The Wild Wild West was one of my favorite TV shows when I was growing up. Watching the show in reruns back in the early '70s was one of my great memories. "Night of the Raven" had Dr. Loveless shrink James West to miniature size! Great nostalgic TV!

So sad to hear that Robert Conrad has passed. Loved this show, it was always a blast to watch. And some of the Sets may have been used in Star Trek TOS because I remember that first scene looks very much like one used previously on "The Squire of Gothos"

Is that Richard Pryor???? Wow!!!! Wow!!! That's Richard Pryor playing the ventriloquist for the puppet! That is incredible!!!!
This was before that issue with that cigarette lighter when puppets were safe around him .
someone had to get the acid to the writers.
I LOVED this show! It was aired back when I was in elementary school.
WOW, Boris Karloff, and still walking like the Frakenstein monster!
I watched pretty much all the shows, but never in color. I had no idea.
Like you, as a kid I only saw them in "Glorious Black & White." Actually my older bro and I could only see Wild Wild West and Mission Impossible the few nights a year our parents went out. (We weren't otherwide allowed to watch violent TV, except the 3 Stooges.) Several years ago I finally watched WWW on dvd -color- with Netflix. It holds up!
Dang, I didn't know Boris Karloff was on the show! I got the entire four seasons on DVD at Walmart last week for $19.00. I can't wait to see the Karloff episode!
Part of my favorite lineup as a kid
Oh mine too Thomas Weeks. My boys have no idea how good tv used to be:):)
My hats off . Mr Conrad was pretty good at his craft .
The wild Wild West was the only show I ever saw him in .
R . I. P. Bob . Thanks .
I loved "The Wild Wild West" when I was growing up (and after); but there can be no doubt about one point. The hardest thing to believe about the stories wasn't the futuristic devices that Jim and Artie used; it was the question of how on earth Jim could fight the bad guys at his superhuman level while wearing those inhumanly tight pants. ("Saturday Night Live" could have done a great skit -- especially with Robert Conrad hosting -- of Jim giving the villains his tough-guy talk, and then trying to swing into action: only to find that he couldn't move because of his pants.)
Love that show
Nice. Such lovely memories of "Wild Wild West."
I've always thought that the sets for this series had very little dramatic atmosphere, but lots of open space to have the fight scenes take place in. At the 4:30 mark is what I've always thought to be an interesting moment when Boris Karloff makes that walk across the scene. He only had half a lung at the time, but still makes this dramatic crossing. Notice how, at the 4:40 mark, an extra with an elephant crosses in front of the camera to hide Karloff struggling to make it up that step. Karloff loved acting and did it till the end of his life.
R.I.P. Agent West ❤
Michael Dunn era el villano inconmensurable de esta serie.👀👍🌅🌌🌈🌅🌌🌈🌹🍃🌹🍃🌹🍃
Victor Buono was in his 20's when he appeared on W.W.W.,......sadly, he died at 43 in 1982 of a heart attack. Wikipedia said that Buono "made a career of playing men much older than he was."
Every hero needs a side kick. And Ross Martin was one of the best
Rest In Peace Robert Conrad, you helped me through my mom and dads divorce. He could’ve played James Bond after Connery left. Basiclly he played the cowboy bond.
They don’t make shows like this anymore
✌🏿🤠 REST IN PEACE ROBERT 😇
This show is so underrated--so clever and campy. I loved Robert Conrad as a budding gay boy with that painted on outfit. Boris Karloff as the Indian villain--genius
That bolero jacket and the tight pants attracted the ladies to the show! Conrad wasn't playing gay. West was a ladies man when there was a beautiful woman nearby but put him in a barroom brawl with 15 other bad guys and he would invariably come out the winner, it seems like he never wasted a move! robert Conrad was a man's man in real life!
