@@UNIT9TV sure but quite often those expire after the Commercial has been out so you can share it. Also, as an influencer with quite a big following, I'm sure he could get permission from clients since he would be pushing their content too. Either way, I'm sure he has done some great work!

Jup, I saw 3, now I also see the blue one...
It's not a deadpixel. The sensor needs a apc-scans before you start recording. The sensor can map-out the pixels and there are no non working pixels to be found. Coming from an Fx9 owner.
FX9 on the new Zhiyun Crane Lab S = could potentially be an ultimate solo rig. Heavy, but Solo none the less!

THE SAM CAM THOOOOOO smartest decision ever made by Gene.
The cool thing about Electronic Onboard ND it does not use Polarized method of variable control. The TFT (similar to LCD) does not need to be polarized to block a light source. Thus it has a clean ND filtering.

the FS7 and FX9 are such versatile cameras. They can be used for regular ENG purposes but in Cine EI mode become great lower level cinema cameras. I love my fs7! $40 on a small rig adaptor can allow you to put the handle directly on the camera and bypass the long arm making it much better for handheld shots. The XAVC-I codec is amazing, too.
The "lens cap" at the beginning reminded me of the cap from a to-go cup. 😂

I vote for a dead pixel. I never noticed the 2 dead pixels when I first bought my EOS 6D a few years back UNTIL I shot in low light with high ISO. Now it is the first thing I check when buying new gear.

a red one on the softbox of the light, a white one on the bottom left corner, and an other white one near his youtube trophy on top right
All 4 visible during the low light test around 12:00

The white one is harder to see, as it is on a whit background

Check the sensor bro I think you have some dust (or some other particulate or a dead pixel) it in the low light shot there are four bright spots
1.On the left hand side shadow
2. On the Apture dome
3. On the shelf where you have kept the CZcams button.
4. On your arm.
Sorry if am being picky but am an editor :3 so you get it how much that distracts you.
Can't really tell the difference in quality in cameras anymore. They all look the same with different color to me. 🤷🏾♂️
This is amazing that you get this colors straight out of the box, and autofocus, and everything - looks good without any tricks - wow!

Love this. Unboxing happens and you already see footage from camera less than 2 min in. You didn’t spend the first 8 minutes opening the box like a bunch of other channels would lol

worked on a small documentary job a while back. 3 cam shoot, 2 a7s on gimbals and I got to work with this same setup FX9 all day. Waaaaay more intuitive than the FS7 and the image is miles better. The first sony camera I'd buy personally.
All of the auto settings seem to be pretty awesome for once. We need a SamCam for everything.
Hey Potato, it's not a dual polarizer, I'm amazing at how few people read the basic specs! The ND is a Vari LCD Electronic ND Filter, it's a lcd filter that adjusts it's ND electronically, it's not a rotating polarizer!
I'd love to see you shoot a cinematic sequence with the FX9 or even a short film.
I'm an advocate for more Sam in general. You guys make a great team.

I love how cameras at a certain price point just start to look like Gundam cannons or just blasters. Wild. It’s like a handicam just went super duper Saiyan or whatever it’s called.
I made a cinema rig with my Sony a6300, I actually love how it looks works and feels. Definitely been able to make the most of this little sony before upgrading to something more comercial.

Got an FX9 myself and really like you looking into this camera! Been experiencing some color fringing when in a backlit scene. You can see it at 3:09. The green lines around the subject and blue/purple fringes on the bike.

Yes! as others said, compare c500 and FX9 (unless that dead pixels everyone caught at 12:07 - one in the left corner and the purple one above candle) is an automatic deal breaker) and MORE SAM CAM!!

Great to see this test thank you! Was lusting for this cam when announced, but still happy with my C200 for now. Raw files are huge, but up to 60p in 4k RAW is AWESOME and all I'll need for a while.
I enjoyed watching this video a great deal but the pricing information seems pretty far off if I am understanding everything correctly. The basic kit price at B&H is 13.5K and then I think you are showing some extra accessories like the monitor viewfinder and the handgrip/controller which would add, I'm guessing, another 1.5K to that overall price. Perhaps you might consider changing the video title or adding more info in the description area? Still, no shade, I appreciate your efforts on creating this high quality video! :-)

Seems like a really solid camera ! I'm using the Pocket 4K and love it, but for when I need AF, I would probably rent one of those, seems much nicer than other cameras, I like how it doesn't hunt. And the lens kit is nice !

Nice! I've been waiting for someone whose used both the C500 M2 and FX9 to make some videos comparing them in a less clinical way, so I'm hopeful that's the video that ends up winning. The FX9 really looks like the one I'm leaning towards ($5000 cheaper is quite a compelling reason along with the variable ND and what looks to be even better than DPAF) but it looks like a beast of a camera for my style of shooting. With the firmware update, this is gonna be really close to the feature set of the C500 Mark 2..
I've had this camera for 3 months now and love the footage i've got from it. Nice work on the video as i had you down as a full on Canon user for sure. Comparison video for me but hey that horse has already bolted. :)
