I vividly remember my first experience of New York City as a kid, before I became a photographer. The sheer sense of scale, the incredible architecture and just the overall feeling I got walking around the city. That experience became one of the reasons I got into photography. Ever since then, it has been my dream to recreate that feeling into a short timelapse film. From the sensory overload of standing on a busy New York street corner. To the tranquility of standing on a skyscraper, like being on top of the world. This is a dedication to my favorite city in the world.
"Liberty" Is a visual journey through New York City captured through timelapse and hyperlapse photography. The video consists of about 15,000 still photographs captured from 2016-2018.

Well living there and visiting is a very different experience (so I assume, I've never lived there but from what I've seen and would assume it seems different). Tourists see lights and iconic places and broadway and the Empire State Building and Central Park, but when you live there, the touristic aspect of NYC isn't part of your daily life, it becomes an average sight. Nevertheless, there's nothing I want more than to live there when I turn 18
Why do you think that it's all amazing? Just because of the lights, crowds and nightlife doesn't mean it's a perfect place to live. Bigger city means more crime, more problems, more police etc... Yea, it looks really beautiful and a cool city ,but its not perfect

I think my favorite part of time lapses like these are the people standing still. People who sit and wait for something, or take their time. People on break, people advertising for their shift, waiting for a ride etc.

I'm in tears... this is my most favorite place with such beautiful memories of a man that is now and forever a memory.. but the saddest part is now my memories of the man that is now no more, is now the city that holds the memories of place in time will be no more as well. New York is so beautiful! I’d love to live there, but let’s face it, you have to be rich to live in New York.
It’s crazy but once you get there you don’t want to live there. Traffic is out of this world (bad way), and the good apartments are well over anyone’s budget. I moved right across the Hudson River to NJ, and I got an amazing waterfront view of NYC.

LA is really overrated but NYC is not!
the rent is expensive agreed but if you get a job there then your salary also will be more because of the high standard of living. So, I don't think so its that expensive
La is no where near as beautiful as new york city. There's almost no skyscrapers and you don't get the pretty light up affect that you get here. Central park is another advantage,dead center of the city. The empire state building and the freedom tower aka one world trade center are almost always in veiw.
