  • Charles Stanley and Anna Stanley divorced after 40 years of marriage because their relationship had become strained over time. The couple had grown apart, and it had become increasingly difficult to maintain a healthy marriage. They had no children together, and both had different opinions about the direction of their lives. Charles Stanley was a prominent pastor and author, and Anna was a homemaker. Over the years, their differences had taken a toll on their relationship, leading to the couple eventually deciding to separate.

It’s sad to see those of the faith and in positions like Charles Stanley divorce because of “marital problems” God made it very clear He hates divorce and if it is to be let he only by sexual immorality. That does not mean “our hearts are not in it” or “I just don’t see eye to eye anymore”. This is a sin and Christian’s once again let it slide. We need to stand up and voice the truth t all!

Satan can use the smallest cracks to attempt to destroy a relationship as well as a ministry. Thank God it didn't destroy Dr. Stanley's ministry.

Actually, is there is any type of abuse mentality or physical God doesn't want you to stay in that marriage. It's more of a sin to stay with someone that is toxic and mentality abuse you than it is to leave.

@JR0G there's not, there are lots of things not included in the Bible. To think God would want someone to stay in a abusive relationship is ridiculous and is a Dangerous out look and advice. I pray you would never tell someone to stay in a toxic environment and or abusive relationship because there isn't a Bible verse about it. If God wants you out and see it isn't Glorifying him and his kingdom he will let you know.

@JR0G In Romans 16:17, Paul warns his readers to avoid those who cause divisions and put obstacles in their way. Paul says, "Now I urge you, brethren, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them".
In 1 Corinthians 5:11, Paul instructs his brethren to avoid:
Immoral people, Covetous people, Idolators, Revilers, Drunkards, Swindlers.
In 1 Timothy 3:11, Paul says that deacon's wives and deacons should not be "malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in everything.
