Just recently purchased a 02 firebird trans am and I’m trying to upgrade my exhaust. Can I get the specs on yours. Also I’m from Mississippi as well and I travel to the Jackson area a lot. Hopefully we can connect and you could help me get my fbody right
I did at first but yeah they’re trash. Definitely upgrade them. I got the clamps from O’reillys bc they are ten times better. They have two bolts on them and help seal exhaust leaks a lot better
I have the same exhaust and I'm having clearance issues after it passes over the axle and over the PHB relocation kit. It still doesn't have enough clearance and I've adjusted it about 5 times. It rattles like crazy off the PHB relocation bar.
Inside ain’t bad I drive a truck with no cats and down turns before the axle its only bad when you idling and just sitting there and the wind blows it but when your drivin you won’t notice it just everyone else
I'll ask Incase anyone knows, does the differing exhaust lengths matter when it comes to power? I would think that each side of the headers would need an equal length of exhaust piping to run efficiently. Or I could be wrong and the extra exhaust piping on the left side doesn't impact anything if anyone knows the answer that would be cool.
@@_wenjo this is what the x pipe is for. The x pipe helps to balance flow between the two pipes. H pipe can serve a similar purpose as well but it provides a different sound than an x. You can also have a double x pipe
Yes I do. Prolly gonna run it like a corvette with quad tips instead of the factory cme tips. I’ll have to try it out. If I don’t like it, I’ll change it back
@@clutchergarage oh Yeahh looks like it would may do that eventually later on just looking get true true dual x pipe set up curently have excel rock header stock cat back setup with btr stage4 cam defently needs a good exhaust set up needs gears with this cam
That exhaust sounds freaking awesome! Some people commented that it's not loud? Love the low deep tone personally.
Damn man that exhaust looks great and your car sounds awesome
Sounds awesome
Damn my fbody looks like it’s been through the ocean underneath and his is just mint
Perks of living in the south man lol
Does someone know if this exhaust differs in tone compared with the tsp true duals out the back?
It has the CME valance, I would love to see the exhaust with CME tips on. Sounds perfect!
It’s in the works!
@@clutchergarageever got the cme set up with this exhaust?
What’s all done to the motor is there a cam in it as well besides a exhaust
What cam was in it at the time this vid was shot?
Nice you also have the infinity tailights. I made some for my Trans am
Sik as car men badass sound to it as well what cam are u running if u dnt mind me asking
Did you mod your tail lights?
Where’d you get your taillights from??
🔥
What sway bar and trac bar kit do you have
What cam?

Can u build me a set of pipes like that, I have 99 fire bird trans am I'm trying to do like that.
Love the sound!! I have a 2000 Z28 . What tail lights are those?
They are custom made. I’m thinking about trading them for some oems that are in good condition
Is that a cammed ls1???😮
What motor /cam 😳
Did you take the heat shield off above the axle I can’t see in the video looks like you have the gas tank one still
Do you have to pull the heat shield off?
did you use the stock clamps it came with? i read they were not that good and if you changed clamps which ones did you go with?

@@badas95Z I haven’t had any issues so far. It’s loud but nothing terrible

The bar that comes with it kinda sucks for clearance. The umi brand relocation bars works better
What exhaust is this?
I noticed non-OEM rear springs. Is the car lowered? If so, how much?
Inch an a quarter
Headers ?
Hello! Question….debating on getting true duals, but how bad is the exhaust smell inside the car w/o cats?
Inside ain’t bad I drive a truck with no cats and down turns before the axle its only bad when you idling and just sitting there and the wind blows it but when your drivin you won’t notice it just everyone else
Appreciate it
Damn that sounds sweet, Does it sit real low? I'm thinking of getting this exhaust. My car isn't lowered.
Yes it’s low but my car is also lowered so I imagine it’ll do even better on yours.
@@clutchergarage Thanks for the info
How exactly did you mount that hanger by the drive shaft cause I'm missing that part from my kit???
Or was that custom?
It comes with the kit. You have to go inside the car and pull up the seat and undo the seatbelt lock and use the bolt and hanger provided

Nah man. If it makes a difference at all, it isn’t enough to even notice a slight difference in power. But good question

Smokey Customs built mine! He’s on instagram!
Great set up but i think those bullet mufflers are taking away from the sound . it doesn't sound very loud at all
That's funny because i was thinking the same thing. Why isn't it loud? 🤔
I promise you man it’s loud. Video doesn’t do justice
I bet if you replace those bullet mufflers with just a three inch pipe your car would be alot louder 👌
I honestly about being loud. Just wanted a clean tone. I’m more than likely going to change from this setup. It scrapes on everything

Nah it’s factory only on slp models
Is this speed engineering true duals? How much is your car lowered and how much ground clearance do you have?
1 1/2 inches and honestly maybe 5 inches. It isn’t much at all. I’m going to try and tuck it up higher but I haven’t had time here lately
