Sorry if you had answered it multiple times but if you don't mind me asking, what is your favorite card from metal raiders (tcg) aside from the moth ha? For example every time I see A relinquished takes my heart right to magic/spell ruler.
I really wanna buy those sleeves and use them for my deck but sadly there's only a pack of 50, if he could make a pack of 55 or 60 that would be an instant buy from me since I need at least 40 for main deck and 15 for side
I like seeing you open OCG things, especially historic ones like these. Anyways, for some tidbits: The Japanese version of Niwatori is named "Koke" (pronounced ko-keh, not like coke). The Japanese sets of Legend of Blue Eyes and Metal Raiders were actually reprint sets, so that explains why they were released elsewhere before Magic/Spell Ruler: So that those places would get caught up with many of the cards in Series 1, before starting to release the Series 2 cards with MRL.
That Barrel Dragon looks insane! TCG Barrel Dragon looks great too though, but it's so nice to see the OCG artwork. Definitely my favorite from what was pulled.
The "rare" (R) rarity literally was rare in OCG in older sets that's why it's not guaranteed in every pack back then... Not to mention the ultimate rares were the reprints of the "iconic cards" in the previous sets(Volume sets) such as BEWD , DM, Summoned Skull, etc. and secret rare is the highest rarity that you can get from that set.
Man Series 2 card formating is so damn nostalgic. I feel so lucky that I got to open a booster box of OCG Metal Raiders before it got expensive, the Ulti rares from that time are gorgeous and the Ulti Barrel Dragon I got from it is still a favorite of mine
The sleeves! Crazy coincidence, I'm actually trying to track down a lot of those old sleeves I remember from the early 2000s. So far I have a few of the dragon eye sleeves, and one pack the undead/mummy. I seriously hope your friend keeps going with these oldschool styles. I'd stock up in a heartbeat
The funny thing about these cards is that most of the titles are written in the Japanese script used for transcribing foreign-language words, almost all of them English. So as you're pulling them and saying out their names as you remember them in the TCG, some are exactly as transcribed in Japanese (like "Star Boy" and "Magic Jammer"), some are slightly different (like "Mechasaurus" instead of Cybersaurus), but a lot are totally different (like "Barbarian" instead of Lava Guard or Swamp Guard).
In Japanese, Stim pack is "Doping" and Hoshiningen is "Super Star", and my absolute favorite, Crass Clown, "Murder Circus". Other observations: Swamp Battleguard = Barbarian Number 2 (With Lava being Number 1) 7 Color Fish is just Rainbow Fish in Japanese. Lady of Faith is called High Priestess. Some other stuff, but most of the Japanese cards don't share the English names. Niwatori (Chicken, literally meaning yard bird.) is Koke and yugipedia claims that's "Cluck" no idea.
These are really cool pieces of Yugioh history for sure. I also feel like the old OCG sets were the perfect items for the “anime” style of play- by that I mean when you younger and didn’t have access to three copies of every card in existence and you were just trying to buy these packs one at a time with pocket change. The 5 cards per pack but cheaper packs (pretty sure the packs/boxes indicate they were like 150 yen a pack which is pretty cheap) just fit better for that style. Maybe some nostalgia for those older yugioh games thrown into the mix, but I just enjoy that more than playing meta all the time. Anyway, would love to see more of these openings.
ocg cards always look beautiful and the best thing about them for me is that they don't have any censorship, it's what our tcg art should always have been.
Love to see historic OCG openings! The Secret Time Wizard would be really cool to see so hoping ya pull that one. Also WILD that Solemn Judgment is a lower rarity than that L7 Vanilla Elephant card. Edit: Heavy Storm is a *WHAT?*
17:35 Ruxin, Strictly Sealed said he purposefully made the sleeves a little bigger for that specific reason of not wanting to damage the card. He calls them “collectors size/ fit”.
Dude, I got back into Yu-Gi-Oh after my wife bought me the Yugi Anniversary set for my birthday. Your content has been great for getting an idea of the pulls one might expect from each product. Shooting for a ghost-rare Blue Eyes currently. Wish me luck, and thank you for all of your content!
One of my favorite sets it officially released on my bday and my father gave me a few booster boxes , I was so excited. to this day don’t know how he got it in the states before launch and doubt I ever will 😆 ruxin you def brought me back memorizes. Much love brother ❤
Bro, the dark and almost edgy look of the old school yugioh cards is just so much better than the new stuff. Like some new card obviously have amazingly detailed artwork but the character of each card in old school just makes it so much cooler IMO.
I think they are second layer sleeves like you are supposed to put the transparent ones first and then you put your friends sleeves. They look nice though, some life to them compared to the color solid sleeves. Also you have to open the ocg set with perite moth in it!
Funny theory/fact about why ocg has lower rarity for good cards versus tcg is because they just didn’t know how good the card would be. When they find out in the ocg, they make it higher rarity in the tcg. This is another reason why ocg cards can’t be used in tcg.
The thing about guessing names with ocg cards with someone that speaks Japanese is kinda funny. A lot of the cards with Japanese names (Hitotsu me giant, ryu-kishin etc) are actually given English names in Japanese (Hitotsu-me is Cyclops and Sangan is just Critter lol) so it wouldn't help as much as you would think for certain cards
Quite the interesting product for sure! A really different MRD for sure. My favorite has to be the Time Wizard, and I'm sad that this one doesn't have Summoned Skull. For a set that puts together so many cards, the foil list is quite short, but still a really fun opening!
What Japanese OCG sets have the coveted Ultimate rares??? I REAALLLLLY hope you are able to open those boxes eventually too!!!🤞🤞 I know "Spell of Chaos" is where the Ultimate rare Summoned Skull is from!!!😃😃
Super cool. I would like to see the secret gazelle. I think they should release a set that has some of the old commons in high rarities that they have never had before. That would be a lot of fun and a big set for collectors!!

How much did you get the metal raiders box for?
I really wanna buy those sleeves and use them for my deck but sadly there's only a pack of 50, if he could make a pack of 55 or 60 that would be an instant buy from me since I need at least 40 for main deck and 15 for side
I really want to see Vol. 1 to 5 openings at some point!
The little history lessons for videos like this are great. You’re the goat bro
If you like history watch strictly sealed
@@TheSuperSangan definitely love his channel as well.
@@TheSuperSangan😊
OG OCG set is awesome, getting to see the cards in their original art is very cool. Would love to see more openings like this.
I like seeing you open OCG things, especially historic ones like these.
Anyways, for some tidbits:

Barrel dragon and time wizard are definitely my favourite cards in here. Ocg or tcg time wizard is a winner.
Cool ocg history lesson too
That Barrel Dragon looks insane! TCG Barrel Dragon looks great too though, but it's so nice to see the OCG artwork. Definitely my favorite from what was pulled.

Love the ocg openings, always a good time
Love hearing all the history intros lately! So cool to learn about it after getting back into the cards
I really do appreciate you including these little slices of history in the beginning of many of your recent videos. Very Interesting!
I would like more OCG sets, it's fun to see the differences. Also I think their papery packs look better to open than the plastic ones we have
Need that volume 1 opening would be interesting to see the start of the OCG.
i absolutely love that old school card interface, reminds me of childhood and all those fake cards that were going around with that interface
Man Series 2 card formating is so damn nostalgic.
I feel so lucky that I got to open a booster box of OCG Metal Raiders before it got expensive, the Ulti rares from that time are gorgeous and the Ulti Barrel Dragon I got from it is still a favorite of mine

I really like how you can see the sleeve pattern around the card while also looking at the card. Most sleeves just the same on the inside
Agreed!
Ooh! Those packs are actually pretty cool! "Seven Tools" is my favorite card in this pack.
The love the design of the old OCG cards with the box for ATK and DEF but that Time Wizard as a secret
The funny thing about these cards is that most of the titles are written in the Japanese script used for transcribing foreign-language words, almost all of them English. That Barrel Dragon looks cool! I love the style with the ATK/DEF on the side. And those sleeves look really nice, clean and shiny!
These Flashback Intros are Fire!
What a classic opening! Most of the end commons were made rares for us maybe that’s where they got the idea.
In Japanese, Stim pack is "Doping" and Hoshiningen is "Super Star", and my absolute favorite, Crass Clown, "Murder Circus".
Other observations: Swamp Battleguard = Barbarian Number 2 (With Lava being Number 1)

No Petit Month is a huge sad but OCG openings are so cool that I can definitely forgive it. That barrel dragon is sick!
I love the og sets from ocg. Those are like things you don't know they exist so don't know what to expect when open them
Love to see historic OCG openings! The Secret Time Wizard would be really cool to see so hoping ya pull that one. Also WILD that Solemn Judgment is a lower rarity than that L7 Vanilla Elephant card.
Edit: Heavy Storm is a *WHAT?*
Out of the listed holos my favorite has to be Barrel Dragon. I'm such a sucker for that ridiculous design!
17:35 Ruxin, Strictly Sealed said he purposefully made the sleeves a little bigger for that specific reason of not wanting to damage the card. He calls them “collectors size/ fit”.
Fun video! I love the ocg openings. The sleeves are cool. Definitely reminds me of sleeves I had growing up.
We love Yugioh in any language, so of course we want more OCG products! 😂 plus new OCG sets tend to give is sneak peeks at our upcoming English sets.
Man I love so much ocg products, that old card design is so cool, I have an 2003 ultimate Blue eyes and is one of my most precious cards
OMG I can't believe these ocg box are really amazing! I would like to see more openings of these
Garnecia Elephantis was probably an ultra rare because it's the card that Bandit Keith used against Pegasus in that flashback.
Old school things are just beautiful most of the time.
I really like a lot of the old OCG cards, recently bought a masked beast and mask set and they look really really good in the binder
That was a fun opening, I would love to see more openings like this
Love the OCG openings! It's so cool to see the differences

It is wild you can even still find sealed OCG stuff that old. I can't even imagine what that box costs
More openings f the early OCG sets. Love seeing the old layouts of the cards and the finish on them.
Like the ocg and the old Art style, where Att and Def are on the right from the Text Box
8:24 I love the card sleeves they are so cool 😎
I'm glad you got Barrel Dragon at least. One of my favorite cards from the og sets.
One of my favorite sets it officially released on my bday and my father gave me a few booster boxes , I was so excited. to this day don’t know how he got it in the states before launch and doubt I ever will 😆 ruxin you def brought me back memorizes. Much love brother ❤

The blue rain sleeves look neat! Definitely will consider taking a look at the link.
What what a classic old box!!! OCG vintage is so cool😂
I never bought the ocg cards before but this was a really really cool opening and lesson !!
This card sleeves look sick, I still have a few Japanese metal raider cards I bought from someone, they look really cool!
i used to have those exact sleeves as a kid, they even fit cards the same way, but i think i'd prefer them to be a tad more snug now
Wow, thank you for sharing. I was surprised to see you open an OCG set!
OCG openings are cool because of all the original artworks we didn’t get.
Gazelle King of mystical beasts would be my favourite. Those sleeves look so cool!
You should open the "Spell of Mask" 2001 set. It has the first ultimate rare blue eyes SM-51 which is very expensive!
I would love to do that one day
I think they are second layer sleeves like you are supposed to put the transparent ones first and then you put your friends sleeves. They look nice though, some life to them compared to the color solid sleeves.
Also you have to open the ocg set with perite moth in it!
I would love to see a Thousand Eyes Bible opening! My favorite OCG set!!
I like the history lesson at the beginning of your videos. Always learning something new
Glad you like them!
The box art for the set is amazing
This was super cool, I'd love to see the others opened, my favorite card in this is either Barrel Dragon or the sr Grande Moth
This needs to be a new series! I like how many different artworks there are between OCG and TCG.
Also nice sleeves!
Amazing product and opening as always. The old-school Yu-gi-oh just hits different tbh! Would love for you to pull the Time Wizard.
OCG Is Fun To See Opened As The Artwork Is Not As Censored As TCG Is. Great Video Ruxin34!
Like a Lot the old school style with the atk/def square at the right side. I really hope You pull that "grande moth"
crazy metal raiders opening! Favorite is gazelle king of mythical beasts!
Funny theory/fact about why ocg has lower rarity for good cards versus tcg is because they just didn’t know how good the card would be. When they find out in the ocg, they make it higher rarity in the tcg. This is another reason why ocg cards can’t be used in tcg.
ocg metal raiders is fun! i love seeing the rarity differences, the secrets are cool
this is sweet to see an og japanese set opened up. would love to see all the rest :P
I like the OCG Metal Raiders Box! Barrel Dragon is my favorite holo!
10:22 Forbidden memories MVP
honestly would be down to watch more of these super old OCG sets.
I have few of those ocg cards, and artwork is just fantastic.
I would definitely love to see more of these openings! That barrel dragon looks nice.
Rarely see these opened, this is a treat
Very nice and glossy cards. The best feeling.
OCG is always awesome!
OG sets would be super cool to open more of
Love the ocg sets. I think Thousand Dragon is my favourite from this set. 😊
9:14 um actually, Witch's Apprentice was in MRD as a rare. I suspect the sentence got mixed up however as Gryphon's Feather Duster wasn't in MRD.
Quite the interesting product for sure! A really different MRD for sure. My favorite has to be the Time Wizard, and I'm sad that this one doesn't have Summoned Skull. For a set that puts together so many cards, the foil list is quite short, but still a really fun opening!
Enjoyed learning some OCG info. Great video
Phantom god, legend of blue eyes, metal raiders, and demons black dragon are all OCG reprint sets. Magic ruler was the first set of series 2
spell of mask, labyrinth of nightmare, and the new ruler would be nice since those sets have the big 3!
Would love to see more OCG sets. Super cool and unique.
They do look amazing it's like a flash back
You can never go wrong with Metal Raiders.
Who knew the sets changed so much. Awesome video as usual, and the sleeves look very nice, well done.
More OG OCG products please!!!! Thanks for an awesome vid Ruxin!!
Awsome video cool to see ocg boxes and their variations, the sleeves are cool as well
Ohhh you gave the idea, now i really need to see Vol sets
Glad to see OCG getting some love
Would love to see some more OCG box openings. Volume 1 etc!
I love the OCG stuff. This was pretty awesome!
10:54 in english he became "Yado Karu". But in Japanese it should be "Yadoka Ryuu". Yadoka meaning "hermit crab" and Ryuu meaning "dragon"
These are the best printing of the cards.
