My exact thoughts
Russ MVP season was my favorite year of basketball. Dude was carrying us hard and was going crazy.
He was conning fans ....and he was successful...
I wish Kenny mentioned this
But between 2015,2016, and 2017 (playoffs included), Westbrook was top 5 in nearly every impact metric we have. His teams were +10 points minimum better with him on the court. Legendary three year peak.
But now we have little timmy Laker fans yelling “eMpTy StATs” despite the advanced stats saying he was good as well

This man gets too much hate! One of my favourite players to watch and it’s sad to see him get disrespected. I can agree that last season wasn’t good but he’s still an amazing NBA player and will get into the Hall of Fame without question!
He’s a good player no doubt but it’s all about Him. He’s not willing to sacrifice his stats for the team cause compared to good players he’s average
No. Just no. Westbrook is a team killer. He has the lowest basketball iq of a “superstar” in nba history. Well, either his iq is all time low, or he’s the most selfish player ever, thinking he can make every play every time

Thank you for making this video Kenny. As a die hard OKC fan, Russell Westbrook is my favorite player of all-time. He turned basketball from something I liked into a true passion for me and seeing all of this slander and seeing twitter try to rewrite his career into that of a disappointment is truly heartbreaking for me
people are quick to forget his season before the lakers he was good next to beal

One "bad" season and people so quick to forget his prime.
Laker fans are ruthless
Nobody forgot his prime. It’s nice and all how he used to play but the only year that matters when you’re actually playing is the current year. Westbrook was terrible last year and he doesn’t care about winning or doing what’s best for his team. He doesn’t even have high expectations for his team.
Only casual fans and people who love to hate unnecessarily forgot about how good he was. There is no doubt that Russell Westbrook is going to be in the Hall of Fame, however, that doesn’t excuse how absolutely atrocious he played last season, and until he rights that wrong that’s the last memory people will have of him.
He was a playoffs failure during his prime too, loosing against rookie Donovan Mitchell and Damian Lillard, couldn't get past the first round and played some of the worst basketball during those series, his triple doubles never led to success in the playoffs when he did average them and when he didn't he had nothing to go for him and people realized the immense amount of flaws in his game because the triple doubles weren't there to cover them up.
Rather than it being "one bad season" it was more so how heavily his flaws were put on display. All the things such as the poor shooting ability, the terrible shot selection, the turnovers, and extreme lack of defensive awareness were shown. For the critics they it was same ol Westbrook but for the fans and less harsh people it was a "bad" season.
I really love this new format! Very refreshing! Hope you do more of this. Some points tho, would love to have a graphic of the player's season stats per year just for reference. Keep it up, Kenny!

As a Wizards fan, that year of Westbrook was really fun! Team wasn’t great but it got the John Wall contract off the books and was just a fun team. Also ended up with a pretty decent package after trading Westbrook! Westbrook’s time as a Wizard was definitely a positive for the franchise

Love the video Kenny. Loving the new format you doing too! I still think the wizards season is soooo underrated. The man has the most triple doubles in wizards franchise history after ONE SEASON playing with the team. Let alone the stats he put up in games were ridiculous and everyone on that wizards team were playing some of their best basketball because of his leadership.
