I love to hear the excitement in your voice, when you find a board of treasures, that seem to have been saved just for you! Most people would look at the old rotting wood post top and say it belongs in the burn pile! You see the beauty and purpose in it, just as I'm sure the woman who collected it all did!
My son says I just like to collect junk 😜. He will be surprised this summer!🤪
How fun! I feel bad for the people who didn’t open their store. There was enough there to be in business for a year!
This haul caused me to enter a state of salivation and envy. A drooling pouter. LOL! Seriously, this haul is just too great, so glad I got to share.
Lots of wonders Primitives! Most all of them I wouldn’t even touch! Depending on your selling style. But most Primitive collectors want the patina left on the items! But again absolutely beautiful!
I am trying hard to fight the sin of envy and jealousy but you are making it hard!! This is a persons dream come true.

Holy moly, after seven pickers this all was left. Fabulous finds and in the hands of someone who will know how to bring life back to them.
If I had the opportunity to find what you found I would think I died n went to Heaven. Oh my goodness, I would of gone nuts n broke all at the same time.
The riser with the felt was for hats for display. You n Chris find some wonderful stuff. A lot of what I saw reminds me when I’d go to estate sales back in the late 90tys. n find all those cool rusty crusty things n primitive stuff. Just good old stuff n antiques. Our estate sales aren’t like that anymore, darn it.
I really like that frog catching his lunch. I collect them in memory of our son. He loved frogs when he was a kid. I’m so happy for you both at what you have. So cool n so lucky.

Oh I would dig right in just like the two of you! You really are living right. Finding all the auctions and being able to go pick is definitely a Godwink moment. I love the chippy pulley. I think the leather “belt” you showed might be a razor strap. My grandfather had one to sharpen his straight razor. He also threatened to use it for a good “whoopin” when he thought we needed it! He never did that but it scared my cousins and I! Lol Thanks Yvonne

Yeah I would definitely love to pick through something like that and return later as you said there would be layers. Fun Fun.
That old, shallow,, drawer, would be cute to use as a shadowbox, to hang on the wall, to display a small collection of anything antique. You could leave it open, or put a framed piece of glass on it, to keep the dust out. I've seen a person use antique desk drawers, to hang on a narrow wall, one above the other, and she lined it with velvet, and displayed antique, glass-beaded, purses in them. You can also use the many spoon-collector boxes; remove the spoon rests, and cover the back with velvet or another fabric, that goes with your decor choice, and display a small collection in it. It already has the glass, so it would protect your display from dust. The great thing is, there is an abundance of those spoon collection boxes around, because it was a popular past time 100 years ago!
Put the yarn cone in the freezer for about 2 weeks to kill any bugs it will last longer. It would be great if it could get used. Very cool finds.

Have you seen how people use old salt and pepper shakers as hat pin holders? Some put little rocks in the shaker, as weights to keep it from tipping over. Vintage salt and pepper shakers make super cute snow men and women.

Great haul. My husband and I recently picked a friend's lake cottage estate sale. Each room was packed to overflowing. We went three different times and still didn't see everything. Found some nice Art Deco items, Depression glass and perfume bottles. Your kitty pitchers look to be Shawnee. Please be careful when cleaning, as the red accents are cold painted, and the finish comes right off. TFS.

What a great opportunity for you! I have a family butter churn like that one but without the number. Those wooden bools at the beginning look like a bread bowl that I have from an ancestor. It was like Christmas to see all your items.

I am amazed at how you can look at this junk and see its worth. I love wood objects the best. Can't wait to see what you do with it all. Oh I love the glass knobs and the smith bros. cough drops they were my favorite when I was a kid. 4 & 20 blackbirds baked into a pie that's what I thought when I saw the pie bird. I did not know that people actually used pie birds.
What a fantastic pick! I loved everything, but my favorites were all the corbles, wooden items, metal ram, butter churn, YELLOW BOWLS EXACTLY AS THEY ARE, cast owl wall hooks, material, tins, rolling pin and scoops.

I think the "wire cloche " was put on top of a galvanized pan and filled with chicken feed. The wires would keep the chickens from walking in the feed.
The square pieces of wood are put in the corners of the door woodwork. Called "plinth blocks".
Wow, that would be exciting and overwhelming at the same time! I admit, I fast forward through haul videos and stop to look when I see things that I do like. So, I'm with you, the animals are so cute to me, as well 😍 so I loved the sheep 🐑. Bet you two had fun picking, it will be nice to see what you create!
I so had one of those Tom Thumb cash register when I was a kid. We played grocery store all the time with hand made boxes and empty cans. We created our own money, etc. such a fun memory.
There is a place near me that looks just like that, and you just go in pick what you want and make them an offer. It is sometimes hard to even walk through the place much less see everything they have. The couple that owns it is getting on up there in years (75-80's) so I don't know how much longer it will be there.
The riser with the felt is made to hold or display a hat. Nice haul did you see the swan near the ceiling. It was on the top shelf. Thanks for all your cheerfulness. Always a fan.

Wow, how do you not just take it all?!! I would have gotten the butter churn for myself too! Crack? Who cares? It's not like you're gonna be making butter in it now. Lol The glass frogs are nice to put those little flags in to display, pens & pencils, and candy canes at Christmas time. They don't sell well for me, but the metal ones do. That amber glass one really caught my eye. I just kept gasping through the whole video. Ha ha What a treat to have that opportunity!

Beautiful finds! Don’t even try to say Worcestershire sauce. I heard a cook on CZcams call it “Watch Your Sister Sauce”. The name stuck in my brain and I have called it that since. My grandma had that Bingo game. My cousins and I spent hours playing on too hot or rainy days!
