According to all known laws of L corp, a clerk shouldn't be able to kill anything. It's 17 or so HP and tiny gun shouldn't allow it to do anything major. The clerk, of course, does it anyways. Because clerks don't care what the manager thinks is possible.

imagine being the clerk, wandering around, wondering why the other clerks seem to be gone aside from you, and the many agents just walking around and stuff, and then you see a golden portal with the legendary red mist... stuck running a treadmill in one of the doors
Would be quite the sight for sure haha. Most of the other Clerks are dead to keep Queen of Hatred calm and so that I don't have Mountain of Smiling Bodies escape during Ordeals and Red Mist but luckily kept Alpha2 alive because of the movement speed buff so worked out funnily enough

Ohh, haven't had it happen to me much I think and only this time in doorways. As mentioned had Binah stuck and invincible after a phase change and one time Punishing Bird was stuck flying in one spot for a while

It's not a bug, that's actually the effect of Alpha's E.G.O weapon, the Treadmillator.
Its special ability is to trap whoever it targets by freezing the last 5 seconds they experienced and then repeating this time on an endless loop, giving to outsiders the impression that they are running on a treadmill.
It actually has a very tragic backstory, you see, Library of Ruina reveals that Alpha's dad was forced to walk on a treadmill for 1000 years as part of a series of experiments ran by T-corp, which naturally had awful consequences for his psyche. When the father came back home catatonic on what was supposed to be an evening like any other, his family tried to find out what was wrong with him, but before they could do anything Alpha's father muttered one word, "Treadmill", and then ran off towards the nearest wall so fast that his skull burst open upon slamming into it.
Hence how Alpha's Treadmillator works, it manifests their impossible desire to set things by rewinding time whenever the weapon is shot, just like how Alpha wishes to turn back time for a second chance at saving their father. But at the same time, the fact that it works in a similar way to a treadmill represents Alpha's inner realization that no matter how many times they may set someone back with this E.G.O, it won't change the fact that they couldn't stop the run that ended their father's life, so Treadmillator's loop will keep on going until the target runs off to their death too.
Okay woah Alpha's backstory is really detailed, I'm impressed and actually got some feels from that. If Kali can manifest her own EGO so can Alpha~
I shudder to think about what if Alpha became a Distortion instead or worse had an Abnormality extracted from them. I feel Angela would utterly despise the whole thing considering the looping ability
@@28JFJ Same, reading Alpha's flashback during the Floor of Running's realization almost made me tear up, truly a sad backstory.
And it didn't happen in-game, but there's a mod on Nexus Manager that lets you fight Distorted Alpha in a reception, it's a very tricky fight though. Their boss form resets your Librarians' light to zero every turn while undoing any damage you dealt, so you need to win clashes against them using 0-cost cards to obtain a special "Treadmill" card that you can then use during Alpha's Mass Attack turn to block it and (if none of your Librarians got hit) stagger Alpha on the following turn while regaining your light.
Personally, it took me a lot of tries to get the RNG right, since you need to build your decks with both 0-cost cards to earn Treadmills and more expensive cards to kill Alpha in the single turn they spend staggered (otherwise they just heal again), but it was a fun reception nonetheless.

Damn, Alpha truly became a fan favourite to get their own modded reception fight. Funnily and ironically enough if the fight goes on long enough Gebura might be a viable option, other 0 cost pages to start with but as the fight goes on her Red Mist pages become pretty formidable 0 cost pages
May we hopefully get the Treadmillator as an EGO in Limbus Company too

I'm not sure myself haha, the game did feel like it got more glitchy as it went on besides lagging more. I had Punishing Bird fly in place before and Binah ended up getting frozen and damage immune during her phase change as well
