Its sick how he's in a metal band that's getting more popular but still does his covers. A true metal head in my eyes
You know what would be even more sick than that? Putting out a new album
Hell yea man that would be awesome. Getting a larger fan base is just as important as well. If not as many fans to buy, not as many sell. Harder to cover the costs of studio and whether or not they have actual jobs or if it's full time for them. In the 2 minor ass not worth mentioning bands I was in, original songs are a lot more work to record than one might think. Getting everyone one the same page the day of as well. Recorded 3 songs but never got a copy of them but it took a while and a good amount of takes for some players.
Run out of studio time, gotta rebook.
Yeah, he doesn't give in to the scene pressure that doing cover's seems like a taboo thing and should only be done like once a year or some shit. IMO this is just a sign of his passion and appreciation for other people's music. Pressuring people into making music too often even when they're not in that ready state only lowers the bar and all we're gonna get are cookie-cutter songs that will never become modern classics.

@@HardToBeAPoopGod I strongly believe that he has s long Road infront of him before he get’s to his goal (not talking about his voice but his band movements), but I am really happy that he has placed his feets in the center of Deathcore. If he associated himself a bit more with other powerful bands and searched for teachers rather than building all shit with his Russian mates, he could have been there already. Thy Art is Murder etc. but I’m sure Aleksandr Shikolai will be remembered for greatness.
I think Mitch Lucker would be proud and impressed with Alex’s abilities

Mitch’s highs are still untouchable, and the Lucker Lows are insane. All around Mitch is one of the best metal vocalists of our time. Don’t get me wrong, Alex is waaaayyy better than I could ever dream to be, but he’s not on Mitch’s level, and Mitch isn’t on Alex’s level, because they both have their individual strengths. Idk I hate comparing musicians as it is. I just enjoy the music and learn to love the people making it.

Alex doesn't need to cup the mic like Mitch. The only reason why Mitch could do lows is because he could cup the mic. It gives it a deeper frequency. Don't mind you, Mitch had good lows, but they were quieter than most. Alex is pure power
