You are a fantastic teacher. The idiosyncrasies of this song are near impossible to describe but you distilled it down into clear instructions. Thank you.

Thanks for you excellent 3 part breakdown. I've put some study into this and it's really propelled my playing of this song forward.
With so many synth pedals available to the guitarist today the additional lines in what you've called the chorus become very accessible to a band with more than one guitar. I'm going to have fun programming some sounds....

I love learning from a beautiful. Sweet hearted person like you!! I've seen a couple Zepparella vids before and loved them! I'm a drummer but also play a pretty good rhythm guitar and I have been learning songs in different tuning like Question Moody Blues open c. That's the way by Zeppelin open g but tuned even a little lower which I figured out. Not sure if they slowed it down after recording or what. But anyways, I appreciate how sweet of a person you seem to be on these zlc vids. So humble and I love that!! Thanks for the vids!!

@@gretchenmenn wow...did not expect a response from you Gretchen. It isn't easy in Australia at the moment especially those outside major capital cities. Having a musician on your level come down to play will be massive boost. You've got a lot of followers down here so it would not be a waste of your time. Anyway great admirer of your musical talent (being a guitar hack myself). Respectfully.

Kashmir is definately one of Led Zeppelin's many masterpieces and definately one of their most difficult compositions.

Does your band play "In my time or of Dying"? It's a masterpiece and shows off Page's genius. I would love to hear your rendition. Thanks Gretchen.

Good lesson, Gretch (hope you don't mind being called that). I loved when you said: "you can even reach that... if you feel like trying." It's hard being the only guitar, so many multiple-guitar bands to cover, as well as studio overdubs and keyboard players that aren't there in your band! I've faced similar situations in cover bands. It's challenging and kind of fun to come up with composite parts. I used to play Dancin' Days, and I do it in some spots in The Rain Song - some finger tap-dancing there. I've only started following you recently, and I find you are an outstanding player and teacher. I'd love to see you if you come to Connecticut (yes, I'm subscribed).

Exactly! Challenges and puzzles like this help me grow as a musician and can often spark new and creative ways of approaching music. I feel you on Dancing Days! That slide that has to stay on your finger the entire song, but is only used in a couple spots... hahaha!

EXCELEGANT, pop is, well, pop but more chixxx imo oughta explore the universe of the Age Of Sex Metal hehe n The Zep is BOTH 1 of the "mainstream" legends AND 1 of the rabble's cult classic groups n not many are. Also- - WHY The Zep? Some of their tunez are not just sexist but misogynistic of Maugham-esque proportion hehe. I like your more method, um, method expression than J.P.s cuz it seems imo he was either trying to outpace Trower or out-cry n sing Clapton which isn't easy lol.
Altho I was born in 93 my bf sayz this group mellowed more acid trip parties than any in history hehe but I like The 'Rella more than The Zep probly cuz you're chixxx n thanxxx for the vid, RnR4ever, xoxoxoluvvTF

Gretchen I love your style of playing the guitar. You are another Jimmie Page to me, except you are a lot prettier to look at.
