Oh, and Eric......"PLEASE PASS THE BUTTER!!!"
😂 One of my favorite Amy moments.
I don't think Wil was psyched about the role, as much as he was happy to see Penny. One bright spot in an otherwise miserable job.
Bernadette's "i lile the wii" was such a meme at that time
This episode has a special place in my heart. I first saw the "Please pass the butter" scene on Facebook and that's what got me hooked to TBBT.
PLEASE PASS THE BUTTER!! 🤣
Loved Amy in this episode 😂
I like the Wii too 😅
The please pass the butter scene, and Bernadette's writing in the get well card are 2 scenes that always crack me up.
This is one of my favorite episodes! Sheldon's dilemma is so funny!
I never knew that before, about the Wii appealing to "a different demographic." But it's true in my case : I was never into gaming, but I did play Wii at my cousin's house once. And I was so hopeless at it - especially compared to my cousins, who were born with consoles in their hands - that I quit playing after just two hours.
3:29 Say what you will, but the writers of this show do their research. I have literally been a Sheldon before when discussing tech. Also all of his point were valid.
I totally feel Sheldon everytime I watch the episode. Its so hard to make a decision because, like, neither choice is like THE perfect one for you in terms of things like specs, build quality, price, upgradeability, etc. And then the worst part of it all is when you finally make a decision, something goes wrong and you get filled with regret
If you haven't checked out Wil's blog or his annotated memoir, I highly recommend both. Suffice it to say that I wouldn't be surprised if you himself had input on that speech he gave to Penny drawing on his own life. He's one of my favorite humans.
South Park did a whole Game of Thrones style console wars. The story even included the heads of the games company.
I remember that! Leading to a big showdown at the Olive Garden or something.
"I like the Wii!
8:07 _Star Trek_ is more nuanced than people think. Wil Wheaton gave an incredible performance in an episode called "The First Duty".
ah this is a classic
I was really looking forward to the start of the Raj-Emily relationship^^
I don't even play games on my Xbox One anymore. I just use it to stream while playing on my Switch. Or just stream.
1:16 It's been pointed out that people with full bladders do not make *better* decisions, they make *faster* decisions.
Yay another big bang theory reaction
Ah, indecision. A pain I know well. I'd like to think I'm not as bad as Sheldon, but.... *shrug*
As for Emily, it was so crazy seeing her actress Laura Spencer on Big Bang since I knew her as Jane Bennet in the web series The Lizzie Bennet Diaries. Seeing her go mainstream with this and Bones, I was like, "Good for her!"
To be fair to Sheldon, Beta Max was a much better quality than VHS. VHS was chesper and better marketing.
“I like the Wii! 😊”
We need to protect Bernadette at all costs.
I got an xbox one just because I've only ever had xbox. I'm on to series x now. I'm not really into the exclusives so it works out
Its a hidden plot point as they never connect the dots, but just remember Penny oil wrestled with a 'guy' in a orangutan outfit... keep an eye out for who is the orangutan lol
On the subject of Will Wheaton, have you watched STAND BY ME (1986)? Would love to see your reaction, if you haven't.
That was the whole reason I got a PS4. It has better exclusives.
PC Master race! No seriously, I never had a non-nintendo console, PC was all I ever needed. Prefer to play most games with m+k anyway ^^
PS4, absolutely. 🙄
PlayStation is the console for single single player exclusives and professional streamers, Xbox is the console for multimedia and social gamers. Nintendo is the console for casual gamers and fans of long-standing IP’s.
XBOX One or Ps4?
I went with the Xbox One, but the PlayStation 2 will always be my favourite console.
Amy pretending to be enthusiastic about the gaming consoles is one of my favorite Amy moments.
