Thinking of a floorplan for an older gentleman. The stove is in the wrong spot. Needs cabinets on either side. Otherwise love the natural light

I think the staircase is a great solution. It is well placed, and yet not in the center, as so often. A really cute little house, to feel good inside.
This is just about the perfect layout. Lots of storage, forego the huge diningroom table that no one uses anyways. I love it.
Always a great folding one can be added for holidays of course.

I don't like where the stairs are. They're too close to the oven. I cook a lot so this would be an issue.
I really like this one! Love the two story designs and this one is a little bit bigger than some of your houses.
I like it. For personal use I would make the house a little wider to put in a little diningroom area between the livingspace and the kitchen island. Enough for a four seater table. This would also give room to put an ensuite next to the downstairs bedroom. So you can make the downstairs bathroom the washingarea/ guest powder room. Otherwise Perfect!

Nice design. No television but could be hung over the fireplace. I would make all the hardware the same but over all a wonderful space.

This is a good house for a couple, maybe with one other family member. I like the entry with the coat closet and bench! I'd change a few things. I'd add a direct access from the downstairs bedroom to the bath. I'd eliminate the fireplace to make room for added seating and a place for a TV. I'd move the kitchen stove a little. The breakfast bar is not a suitable substitute for a real table for dining. Although I like pocket doors where needed, there is excessive use of them here.

It's beautiful, but where is the washer/dryer? Also, I would place the stove in the middle of the cabinet, since it is a hazard there.
The laundry room I arranged is under the stairs, you can find it in the Floor Plan section at the end of the video ^^
I agree. I didn’t notice that it didn’t have a washer and dryer. I don’t like that it doesn’t have space for a small table either. Otherwise, very nice.
Washer/dryer is in closet to right entryway.I know it took two times to find.

@@jmacd412 When I lived in a small apartment, I used a small 29" tall pedestal table instead of a low coffee table. I could pull up chairs and use as a dining table, as needed. That same pedestal table now sits in a corner of my living room with a lamp.

I love this cozy house, the large counter space for cooking is awesome! The downstairs is perfect, ample storage. The foyer with a sit down area to take your shoes off (no outdoor shoes allowed! Personal preference) and the upstairs is very homey and cozy. I’d add a bath 🛀 upstairs. Overall, I love it! Do you sell the floor plan?

Ceilings on the main level seem to be really high making the stairs to the upper level long & narrow with no handrails.

When it scans to the view from above, you see the laundry in a closet under the stairs, with access from the door next to the entrance.
I don't understand why the bedroom on first floor doesn't have a closet and big huge closet in living room.🤔
In the bedroom there is a door, that door is the dressing room. ^^

Where do you work using laptop etc. This house is lacking so called home office space: no tables, etc. for that purpose. In comments I saw lack of space for washing machine & dryer mentioned and I agree. Do you wash all your dishes also with hands? In that case this house is lacking space for that machine also. It seems that this house is not for children, nor for physically restricted people. The fireplace seems to me to be electric.
I forgot to mention the Doors. They are to small for the fornature. To get True.
A stove under cabinets? Is that even code?
The stove placement is a hazard in the making. Imagine your boiling water and someone makes a misstep on the stairs and falls onto the hot stove. And again the bath and kitchen mixing their smells.
Actually the stove is fine where it is. I have a rental and this is like the kitchen there. Only the microwave is over the stove. It’s been this way for over 15 yrs with NO PROBLEMS 🤷♀️

GLARING DIGITAL ERROR: Go look at the weird "shelves" in the middle of the counter to the RIGHT of the stove -- the stove is under a normal cabinet (wrong). The "shelves" should be the range hood.

In the bedroom there is a door, that door is the dressing room. ^^
Stove needs to be in the middle of the cabinet as it is dangerous to have pots on the stove next to a stairwell with people coming up and down. I doubt this design would pass fire code.
Question: Will a man that is over 6feet 4inches tall be able to walk through the door without hitting his head. It seems to me these houses are for small people.

There are things about this design that either do not work or are simply dangerous. The space is not efficiently used at all. For sensible floor plans for a home this size you need to look at the homes built as temporary housing in the City of Toronto immediately after World War II. There thousands of them, and many are still very comfortable homes. Most have the design turned sideways, but the have a front door into a small reception space. There is a living room that opens into a dining room, plus a good sized kitchen on the ground floor. Most have 2 quite adequate double bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. All of them have a front wall with not only the door but the living room window to make the front face look welcoming. This design turns it's back on the street leaving it looking cold and unwelcoming, the opposite of curb appeal. The dangerous thing is the placement of the staircase and range. That is simply bad design. In the case of a cooking fire, anyone upstairs would be trapped, and would quite likely die.
A home for egoists like Putin or Trump.
Why do you use the same photo's and furnishing's in all your demo plans? The picture of the lady with the masking tape across her eyes is tacky. The picture of the head bust of a Greek goddess is just getting old. I may stop watching your video's, lack of imagination.
