  • Its travel home day...
We drop the car off at Manchester Airport's Terminal 2 Meet and Greet parking before heading into the terminal for the first time since 2019.
Straight through, we take a walk around the new to us departure area, stopping at San Carlo for a yummy and filling thumbs up breakfast.
We make the trek to gate 12, where it takes a good 10-15 minute walk to get to the Virgin gate, boarding Miss England for our premium economy flight to Orlando International Airport.
Driving to the Universal Orlando Resort area, we check into our Volcano Bay view room (accessible room) at Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort before a quick change and heading down to the Hideaway Grill to grab a bite to eat and to make the most of those refilable mugs.
    Why not come along ;)

Hi, just wondered have you ever bought tickets for Disney & Universal in the Uk before leaving ? Thank you

Yes we do. We tend to have a look around at what prices ticket sellers are advertising, what freebie's they are throwing in (if any these days) and if there are any promotions on. In the past we've used FloridaTix, Orlando Attraction Tickets and Attraction Tickets.

Considering Manchester has just got this new terminal it's a planning disgrace that it's so far away..walk is ridiculous same on way back too

Its certainly something people need to consider in planning their time at the airport. I am sure if arranged with special assistance, there will be support for those with mobility issues. The travelator's do help.

Thank you for posting this we have booked identical seats for our August 2024 LHR-TPA trip, was you happy with these seats?

    • @AnAwfullyBigAdventure

We were very happy with these seats in premium. Being 4 of us, we always aim to bag the last 2 rows so we can recline without offending anyone.

I just booked Delight seats for 2 people man to Mco , last year sept cost extra £150 each way. Now it’s more than that , and you have to pay for holiday before choosing the seats. So in total £596 or about, practically £600 for 3 inch extra leg room and boarding 5 minutes before economy passengers. Never again, false advertising

Travelling in general is getting so expensive.
As you say its about prioritising what you as an individual feel is value for money for you and your family. An extra 3 inches on legroom, a wider seat pitch, extra luggage, etc. It has to be about what you are prepared to pay for what you are getting for your outlay.

@@AnAwfullyBigAdventure Oh I totally agree and we’re happy to pay extra for more legroom although no extra luggage.
Unfortunately we weren’t aware of the extra charge for then choosing the seats we’d paid extra for 🤦🏼‍♀️ . Lesson definitely learned.
