  • The Inspectorate of Government says they are planning to deliver a report to President Museveni on the Speaker of Parliament Anita Among's declaration of wealth, including alleged possession of houses in the United Kingdom. Governance experts indicate that Among could find herself in a complicated situation, including risking her parliamentary seat if it turns out that she owns the houses but they were not included in her declaration. Human rights lawyer Nicholas Opiyo is optimistic that information confided to President Museveni by the British High Commissioner to Uganda is close to the truth.

When you realize that the so called "Captain of the ship" is actually not on the ship you have to ask why. It's most likely the ship is sinking and they quietly abandoned the ship onto another. 🤣

The question is why is the UK bringing this up now? Have they just discovered now that she owns property there? Is she the only one who owns property abroad? Don’t politicians from the UK own property and businesses in African Countries?
This is a clearly a revenge move by the UK on Among…. And make no mistake, it’s only the beginning not only for Among.

I am no fan of Among, she should pay for any sins commited. However for Opio to say that British government can't be wrong is very naive and gullible. He should talk on more solid ground
