RIP Shaleen Surtie-Richards | Condolences pour in for the veteran actress

President Cyril Ramaphosa has paid tribute to educator-turned-actor, Shaleen Surtie-Richards.
In a statement, President Ramaphosa says the country has lost a household performer whose distinctive energy, artistic versatility and humility touched generations of South Africans for more than three decades. Surtie-Richards passed away in Cape Town at the age of 66.
The President says on stage and screen, Surtie-Richards held a mirror to our unjust past and gave us hope for our future as a nation.
