He's actually always supposed to have silver hair. They made it more pinkish for the anime. The end card of Episode 12 is drawn by the original mangaka (Nekotofu), so you can refer to that if you want to see all the manga designs of the cast, including their colour palettes. He won't be changing back in a Season 2 if they do make one, though. In a recent chapter of the manga he's just "renewed his lease" on living as a girl for the third time. I doubt he'd go back any time before middle school graduation at the earliest, and they're not even in third year yet.
Considering the art style of the anime and basing on the boys in his/her class, we can conclude that mahiro looks pretty much the same as when he is still male, maybe with minor diff.
I have to say... I've never felt so much fondness/love for an anime character before... I've watched many anime, yes some characters are funny, some are attractive, some would even be good friends if they were real... but Mahiro and her/his friends... well... I miss them already... Somehow they feel more real to me than many real persons. I don't know what to feel for Mahiro's choice... On one side, it is sad that he had to choose to be something that he is not in order to have friends and not lose what he got, on the other side, perhaps it is not a sad ending, perhaps his sister knew that most of his problem were related to the fact that he was actually supposed to be a girl and this is her way to test (successfully I'd say) her theory. Mahiro is happy now, certainly happier than what he was before, and that's what matters. I really hope there will be a second season and I have to thank Nekotofu for this beautiful, well written, well drawn and well animated story.
The manga is out to volume 8 (I think, i only have until 7 physically), and this happens in volume 2, though I haven't read past that so I don't know if any material is pulled from later volumes, and how much is filler. I haven't seen the anime fully either, but Neko Tofu is still publishing, so there's hope. Might be a while though.
@@toyeager6234 there's a bonus panel in the manga of Mihari with a lewd smile on her face after the onsen incident saying something to the effect of "I finally got to Touch it" or "I touched it" something like that. She's a brocon but she pretty much keeps it under control so nobody actually sees it.
@@toyeager6234 The funny thing is the manga has barely if any ecchi or fan service. Its mostly a wholesome CGDCT SoL comedy. Like Kaede and Miyo got seriously buffed for the anime
