I was hoping this video would explain if I need to open a compartment on the box before setting it out. Oh well.

It would be better if the mouse could go in but not come out. Because when the Mouse dies you have the stench for two weeks because you cannot find the dead mouse! No thank you!

what do you mean by " you just set them"?
you never say "just set them DOWN and walk away".
"Set them" could mean there is an activating mechanism.
I came here to find out if I was missing something.
three days now . more mouse droppings but no mouse is taking the bait.
the box doesn't even say it's "ready to use. No trigger to set"

Many years ago when I was a teen we had a mouse problem in one of our rooms. I bought some mouse poison seeds and placed them around the couches and bookcases It worked great. The mouse died. But that created another problem - the smell. He crawled off into some crevice, or up into the couches, and his body smelled for weeks. Bottom line - not a good solution. Now, other than a fancy plastic box and a different poison, how is this thing any different?

So the mice leave the station after eating the bait? If they leave I'm thinking pets and/or predators will suffer. It's not mentioned on the packaging.

A pregnant mouse can give birth to as many as 14 pups. Because of their ability to become pregnant so quickly, just one female mouse can give birth to as many as 56 pups per year. And here's worst news: A baby female mouse can give birth at 6 weeks and produce as many as 10 litters in their first year. Hopefully you’re trapping faster than their reproductive cycle.

@@tyraellis9139 They can.."One of the senses that suit their aid for survival is their enhanced sense of smell. With the distinct scent of humans, mice know to stay clear of people. After handling a mouse trap, the smell is wreaking in your scent, setting off survival instincts to avoid the mouse trap. Considering this, when setting your traps be sure to wear gloves to avoid drenching your scent on them."
