Catching, documenting and tagging the fish in the Colorado river is the best way to monitor the health of the overall environment. Colorado River Parks and Wildlife department take up this mantel to ensure the health of the river as we face unprecedented temperatures that threaten our wildlife. By using electricity, the Parks and Wildlife department can safely capture, study and release these creatures back into their natural habitat thus creating a plan to ensure their longevity.
YOU can also help make sure the Colorado River continues to support this diverse ecosystem by joining the cause to save the Colorado river, being conscious of your water usage and exploring these beautiful places.
