In three days, Takoda Collins was expected to celebrate his 11th birthday, but on December 13, 2019, he tragically succumbed to multiple injuries. His cause of death was determined to be a combination of blunt force trauma, compressive asphyxia, and water submersion, classified as a homicide. However, Takoda's father, Al Mutahan McLean, insisted that these injuries were self-inflicted. The question arises: How could a young boy inflict such harm upon himself? I want to put this out here.... My dad was HORRIBLY abused as a child. Beaten bloody by his father and thrown in a closet ETC. I was NEVER abused by my father. A traumatic childhood Is NO EXCUSE for abuse. We all make our own choices. I am sick and tired of this theme that we are allowed excuses for our own behavior because we had a rough life. GTFO grow up.

The problem with your self righteous statement is, your basing stuff off some made up fact that people who are abused all react to their abuse the same way. do you realize those who become abused can have parts of their psyche break down, and because of that some can develop split personalities because of it. I always told myself that I'd never do something like that. Passing down the trauma doesn't always have to happen.
Unfortunately in my case, I've been through an unimaginable hell. I understand that my experiences have turned me into a very sick person that would most definitely do harm to my own children or spouse.
There's plenty of people like me (for various reasons), very few, but very plenty that should not have kids or a spouse but still do, and things like this happen.

Exactly, I wish he had been with me as well instead of with that hell-on-earth excuse of a father & abusive household. That precious little face and the pictures of him smiling - especially the one with him outside that has grass in the background… just seems like a snapshot of a story that never was, for a boy that deserved better in every way. He deserved countless days playing outside with people that cared about him. I only pray he is now an angel, playing outside with people that care about him and that he never feels pain again in any way. Bless his soul ❤

i watched this yesterday and today i cried again thinking of all his pictures where he is smiling like an angel but endured since his birth nothing but the worst. that creepy father didnt let out one single evilness on this beautiful baby. ALL the adults around him, the other two women, the neighbour, the cpr, they ALL betrayed and left him in its fate.

I am also a social worker, and I have seen some nasty homes that are filthy from the floor to the roof. But it doesn't matter because the focus is to keep the family together as much as possible. So, a lot of things get overlooked

Oh yeah, that's a typical trope. "My son injures himself on purpose!" maybe some kids with certain disorders do but it's statistically more likely that someone is abusing them.
@@stephaniegates9836No, broadly speaking kids with 'certain disorders' don't injure themselves for no reason either, they've just been dehumanised that much that people will uncritically accept that narrative when it's also an expression of distress due to being traumatised and/or not having their fundamental needs met. Statistically they are even more vulnerable to such abusers

i couldn't agree more. I attended an 18 month old's funeral, where Child Protective Services let him fall through the cracks. I personally was involved trying to take the child phydically from the mother, to bath, feed and care for him and kept having to return him to her custody. My daughter & I who were taking him from the home while Momma was on drugs and past out... the law made us return him because we had no legal right to take him. RiP Ashton We will always love and remember you.

I see story after story about cps investigating but nothing is done. That needs to change.
@@maganaliayou know what? Me too. But I do see them circling less needy families-as in the safety risks are very low- like wolves. The people who abuse them and refuse to let them anywhere near their lives seem to be too much trouble for them. For example, here I the UK, you don't see CPS trying to take the travelling community's children. Because that community would probably make them go missing. There's a sort of immunity if you're extremely difficult. But those who desperately want to prove that they can do better or that they are in fact doing a good job, have no chance... That's seen as weakness.
It seems that CPS only takes children out of homes where there is no threat. All because of spiteful nosey ass people, but leave children in the homes they go to the most.
CPS did the same thing with Harmony Montgomery case. The mother begged and called and begged and called, and CPS failed that little girl. She went through just as horrific crimes in CPS was never held accountable.
You would be shocked how many times CPS is never held accountable and allows these children to endure suffrage of cruelties on levels beyond inhuman comprehension.
It isn't the government's role to raise children. Children are not owned by anyone and aren't the responsibility of other citizens. The family, the family's extended family failed the child. No one else.

Very few individuals actually care about anyone any more, and those working in protective services are overworked, under budget and their work is not checked by any failsafe systems because that would cost money

There is an interrogation video of the woman, who cut the baby from his pregnant mother. She is tied with this guy in my book. It doesn't seem like he was abusing his brother in the same fashion. I wonder if it was just a matter of time or if this is a situation, where he felt like his son was "defective" and therefore saw it as a slight against his grandiose self image. Abusers sometimes pick one kid, who gets all of the abuse. Just got to wonder. Thank goodness he has no kids to abuse in jail at least!

Sometimes shock can cause someone to speak casually about a lost child. It took 2 months for it to hit me when my daughter died. For those two months it was as if she had never existed (if you'd seen me)...I was still going to school, laughing and joking around and didn't cry. But after those two months, the pain hit and never went away. Never even dulled. But I was very young and was a bad situation myself so that may have instigated severe denial.
All I know is that people who love and care for their babies can be very emotionless sometimes when the loss is fresh.
But NEVER have I seen a loving parent speak so disgustingly ill of their passed child!

I asked him why and he JUSTIFIED it by saying my mum was frigid and he was a victim when he was a child. I am a parent and I would never dream of hurting a child.
