Hello, I had this test performed and I want to understand why when the compression was released I felt an immense amount of pain and I can't even describe what and where it hurts it was a big whoosh of pain all over my head.
I had a rear end MVA in May 2023 and in October my neck head pain caused so much throbbing I went to the ER. MRI and CT imaging is not showing anything wrong. I can't return to work with my physical disabilities and i have been waiting for months to be seen by a pain clinic or neurologist. My PCP just did this test a few weeks ago and I didn't experience this amount of pain.
He just did it again two days ago and I haven't been able to fully recover from the event.
My right side is currently my issue side. When I was hit I had tingling down my left arm. My right ear started throbbing in October, then my left shoulder and neck pain is what started in October too. After I was hit I also had back left rib pain when I breathed deeply.
Left hip pain a few days after the accident. Then full blown sprain and strain in my SI joins and pubis symphysis pain in September. Now I'm coughing from a three week cold and I'm seeing white light at night when I close my eyes to sleep.
All of this waiting for a specialist is concerning me, as my occipital neuralgia pain is getting worse. I can't carry anything without pain. My phone, coffee cup, my child holding my hand and pulling a little, pushing a grocery cart, everything hurts.
I do many PT movements. I no longer can go to Pt, chiropractor or massage due to finances.
There are so many things that could be going on here. Without seeing you, it would be hard to make a diagnosis.
What is your favorite exercise to help relieve pain for a C6 compression? I was prescribed chin tucks by my PT and those hurt and seem to make things worse.
What does it mean if we have mild neck stiffness and pain and mild radiculopothy that comes and goes but this test is always completely negative?
Age 18 M:My neck got traumatised 1 year back and i felt very dizzy for almost 5 months and it got ended and then comes to neck pain started after this episode having left arm weakness(Radiating till fingers)frequently and rarely right one and feeling like something is flowing in my cervical spine gonna be feeling like blood flow and pulsations all over my body ( mainly in the abdomen and are clearly visible …and shoulder pain and The Major one is My arms aren’t equal like the right one is little lower than the left one plz help me with this

My MRI showed from C5-C7 moderate to severe canal narrowing with cord flattening, bilateral foraminal narrowing, and disc osteophyte complexes. All these focused around a reversed neck curve right at C5-C6 clearly pressing on my spinal cord. Numbness on my fingers is the most obvious symptom, but also neck pain and tingling between shoulder blades, and subtle symptoms like unsteady hands and slight balance issues. My neurologist also said I had a positive Hoffman.
What does it mean that extending my neck backward or forward greatly aggravates the numbness on my fingertips, and the neck pain?
Is this a sign of nerve root compression Radiculopathy or from cord compression from Myelopathy?
And you could have a combination of all of the above. I hope you have an appointment with a neurosurgeon for an evaluation.
