Man, I saw NOFX for the first time here in Portugal in 1997 on the first row, it was a dream come true...and I saw NOFX in Barcelona 3 days in a row in this final tour, for the last time (?) I'm very proud of my favourite band of all times!!!... and as we can understand in the "Book" you always carried NOFX on you back on the most difficult times, as they carried you further 🤍 THANK YOU!!!
shiiit I missed Austria. that was closest to me. They'll be touring up to oct 2024 so I hope they come somewhere near Slovenia. Had the privilege to see them 4 times - would love to see them one more time

@@jessemandersonFat Mike is a lyrical, musical genius. That's not really up for debate. He can hold a crowd as well as any of the people above. The different is he is brilliantly unpredictable and as such, completely unmarketable as mainstream entertainment 😂
@@jessemanderson I have too (not seen them live but I came from the 90s punk rock scene, skater crowd and all that too, all my bestfriends were metalheads though 😅) and you're not wrong. All I'm saying is there are comparisons to be made. Maybe its because I don't know much about making music or being a musician though, I just know what strums the brainwaves the right way, so maybe to me the gap doesn't appear to be as large as it does to someone who knows what they're looking at musically.
You can hear all the Fat Mike trademark type melodies. This is truly pure as fuck. I love his evolution.

Hopefully it won't be the last Hi-STANDARD song :( Ken and Namba announced that Hi-STANDARD will continue as a band (in some presently undecided capacity) and they are currently holding open auditions for a new drummer, so nobody (not even Ken and Namba!) knows where that will lead. I even heard a rumor that Namba said the band had some new songs written before Tsune passed. Tsune is irreplaceable but I still hope Hi-STANDARD keeps making music because they are such a special band.

Fat Wreck is going to be such a weird label when NOFX have released their last album. From Orchestral to whatever Codefendents is, to Melvin's messing around with the sound generator on a macbook, and I'm sure some bands will be making punk still.
Great as NOFX are and Transplants-but-without-the-one-good-song as Codefendents are, I think NOFX coming to an end might unleash Fat Mike and the others into total creative freedom and I'm really looking forward to where it goes. Also get the podcast going again, It's great.
