Thank you for exploring Kemaliye, one of Turkey's charming towns. You are very fortunate. My parents are also from Kemaliye and moved to Istanbul 55 years ago. For the last few years, we have been attending an extreme sports festival in Kemaliye with 50-60 swimmer friends from Istanbul. Base jumpers, wingsuit flyers, bike reders, and rock climbers from all over the world come to this lovely town in the last weekend of June. I recommend coming during that time.
I'd like to make a comment about your program. It seems quite absurd to put Arabic music in the background while shooting a documentary about Turkey. It is very annoying for us when Westerners confuse Turkey and Turks with Arabs. In Turkey, people from dozens of different ethnic groups live together, and Arabs are a very small part of them. Not all Muslims are Arabs.
It was quite interesting that you went to Trabzon in a car with a 1967 license plate. They must have welcomed you like a prophet. Trabzon is an extremely nationalist city and a fan of Trabzonspor, football sport club.
