my dad used to travel for work very frequently when I was a kid. he was gone for 2 weeks at a time and was home for a total of 4 days a month. when he'd come home he was exhausted and jet-lagged but I remember he tried his best to spend time with me. sometimes he'd offer to accompany me to the movies and suffer through kid's films to spare my mother, but he ended up enjoying it most of the time because he found the deeper meanings in each movie, like for example Shrek, Madagascar, Up, Wreck it Ralph. He's also a big fan of movie soundtracks so he'd always put these songs in the car when we went on family trips. this truly brings back so many memories, from a happy easter trip to my past longing feelings. happy tears

God, Jason Wade did a fantastic job on this song.
The best cover of this song ever. Although some of the lyrics in this video are incorrect. It was written as a to be from an American female to her GI etc... in WWII. I have listened to many recordings of it, throughout my lifetime. And being a Marine married to a Marine I have related to this song very well.
