Human perception of probability doesn't match actual probably, so a lot of games - including XCOM on lower difficulty settings, will rig tthe RNG in the player's favor so that something like losing a 90% roll 3x in a row never happens. It's when games have completely fair and uninfluenced RNG that things like this happens.

Machines can't do proper RNG. That's why ram manipulation became a thing for speedrunners in early games that allowed it. RNG was based off actions, butons pressed, steps walked stuff like that. Computers nowadays base their RNG inputs on something like an internal clock down to the milisecond. So it's never true randomness and you get sets of repeating numbers because surprise, clocks count up or down constantly never randomly.

Takara Tomy bought the Japanese rights, and at some point started updating it independently of the MB/Hasbro line. I'm guessing Hasbro would see licensing the JP changes back as too niche a product to be worth it (while releasing the 9001st variation of Monopoly).
@@nope.0. Hasbro wouldn’t even need to get involved since there are already Japanese exclusive switch games with English subtitles that aren’t region locked. They could literally just update the game to include English subtitles since the game is already being imported and sold online
Even if there is one, this is the Japanese only version by Takara Tomy, which was released this year. The English version came out 2 years ago, but it's from Marmalade Game Studio without the JP version features and thus IMO is less interesting in comparison.
