You should really watch the live version. It's so incredible! The song was written in memory of his late friend. The last line in particular has a tear rolling down his face. I don't know if it's true but, I've read somewhere that they performed it on the same bridge that his friend "gave up the fight". Very moving.

I love the use of the violin in this recorded version and of course their harmonies, but the live version has so much power and emotion. They're both incredible artists and both versions of this song deserve a reaction in my opinion.

Even if you don't make a reaction video just watch it for your personal enjoyment and enrichment of your psyche, it's that good. Don't get me wrong, the lyrics video is excellent and well worth watching, and it may even be a better route to watch the lyrics video first and the live version second?
I know others have said it but you really need to watch live versions or official videos for REN because there is nothing extraneous with what he does. His art is a full performance not just lyrics and music and the videos always add an extra element. I am someone who has lost people to suicide and this song crushes me, but it also helps release some of those emotions that would otherwise fester inside. REN is a key that unlocks those dark places for a lot of us and while it hurts to feel what's inside it also lightens the room and burden a little after.
