I'm not a fan of super high lifted trucks. But for all of the "Lifted or lowered/slammed" questions, I'm of the opinion that a truck should never be lowered. It's a truck!
I made a 03 dodge ram 1500 like new with ten grand...new paint,headlights/taillights, interior, new stereo system,RC 3in.lift , 20-10 XDgrenades rims,terra grappler G2 tires,tigerauto stepsides, new rotors and synthetic brakes, new top dash and replaced a.c. ! Little over ten grand ...down side was two grand for a paint job so there's a few blemishes I'd like redone ..it's a black paint job ..
I’d do the 15k truck and 30k for modification. I would do lots of upgrades to the suspension and motor put a 4 inch lift on a 1995 Chevy extended cab long bed and put 35 inch tires and do after market front bumper colormatched white and blacked out lights

The comment of “he’s never ridden in one” talking about bagged or lowered street trucks, it’s obvious those who have either never rode in one, or have rode in a hack job. Bagged trucks have the capability to ride amazing. Most actually do. And lowered, same way. Quality parts and if you compare lifted to lowered, most all lowered ride better. Also comparing full size on both.
For 15k you can buy a high mileage 2md gen and spend 5k on the motor the ise the rest for everything else or you could even buy a minor wrecked newer truck and fix it up
