some of the planes engines i think are cast with cement and or stripped out so its only the fuselage itself and they are reserved for round abouts etc like this one @46.9044933,19.7483152,18z and there is a mi 24 one but its not on google maps yet
Please give this scrap to Pakistan. They can sell and buy some food. They are literally begging for food. Their condition is worse than somalia
Those aircrafts are not just MiG 21s, but also Su22s swing-wing strike aircraft also produced during Soviet times.

Uploader......there is a place in Czech with lots of old Soviet aircraft if you guys are interested....unless you already know it's location? I passed it some years ago but was on a major road and couldn't get an exit off. I only know the approx location from memory.

I wonder when they feed?

in vietnam maybe
That is anything but their natural habitat.
It was nice to see that you came to check all these fighters. They are hidden quite well. I live 10 kms away from the planes but it took 19 years to check them personaly! :D
Can i find the location of these aircraft?

Didn't he ask and the other guy said there was nothing in there, they were scrapped for parts
Even as a British citizen I strongly feel these once feared War Birds deserve to be treated with more respect than they currently are. The MiG 21 was once a class leading interceptor/ fighter across many war zones against NATO forces, they do not deserve to be left to sink into a muddy field and left to rot. Their true natural Habitat is at about 20,000 ft at about Mach 1.5. A horse that served it's master well, would be put out to pasture and cared for well by the veterinarian Dr until the end of it's natural days. The same should apply to these Jets kept flying for as long as humanly possible, then put in a warm dry shed for people to admire.
the thing about the mig 21 is, there are a fuckton of them, these 35 sitting around doesn't really take away from the preservation of this generation of aviation as there are so many mig 21's.
1) WHO'S GOING TO PAY FOR IT? You, me? Do you realize there are only so many dollars to go around?
The reason why jets rot in fields is because there's no money to properly dispose of them!
The reason why many things DOn'T get junked right away is that the value of scrap value is not particularly high at times. At other times because of politics AND national security concerns, they WILL scrap planes quickly. That's been done to strategic bombers to satisfy treaties AND to fighters to keep valuable spare parts out of the hands of enemies.
The countries that bought these planes are generally Third World and disposing of decommissioned planes is the least of their worries! They have problems feeding their population half the time and paying the regular military to prop the authoritarian government in place.
Heck, there are plenty of airfields AND junkyards in the US, the UK, and other places overflowing with machines that SHOULD have been scrapped decades ago if they're not going to do anything with them anymore. These are obsolete planes that will NEVER defend the skies again OR go off to distant conflict and they've just corroded to the point it's NOT economical to restore them for flight let alone display them.
2) There were over 10,000 MiG-21 manufactured over 40 years! You honestly think there aren't a ton of them in museums already?!?
In your country AND mine, we have TONS Of air museums preserving all kinds of flying machines and things like F-86s, MiGs (15-21), F-4s, Canberras, P-51s, Spitfires, etc., etc. ARE already well-represented! They really don't need to preserve MORE airframes of those types because there's already a TON of backlog of far rarer planes waiting to be restored let alone worrying about what's rusting on a field in another country halfway around the world!
transform swords(mig21) into plowshares! In the garden of the U.N in New York there is a statue given by the former Sovjets!!!too the U.N. witch represent this. Can you believe it?
India is using the upgraded mig 21 bison.
Fyi Matt, Indians are still riding the legendary war horse, and just a couple of days ago intercepted and shot down another legendary bird, F16.
The Rider: Wing Commander Abhinandhan Vardhamanan
Ahhh... you found these. YES! They are real! This is the death row of the Hungarian Air Force. These are stored aircrafts waiting for dismantling. The planes are collected together on a field next to a reserve runway of an ex AFB. First I was wondering how you got there so easily because though this AFB is not in active service anymore but still in "reserve" status. It means it is not completely abandoned (deserted) and some parts of it still used occasionally by the Hungarian Air Force. Then a friend told me about this AFB. When it was closed it is lost about 50% of its original area. Part of it still active, and guarded by the military, but a significant part of the old AFB is completely forgotten. Theoretically, this area and the planes are under security surveillance as well and the planes are under dismantling. Practically as I heard no one cares about them for about 20 years. These planes are got their death penalty and waiting for their fate. In yr 2008 there were more than 60 of them there. Now there are less than 30. They are far from their original glory. Before arrived here, all machine guns were removed, just like the jet engines. In many cases, they have not removed the engine, only filled it with concrete. Some planes were bought by foundations and museums but these days most of them are ransacked by collectors or their suppliers. Internet is full of spare parts of old MIG planes. Clock, black box, radar, etc. Some of them are "collected" from this field.
Concrete poured into the engines! I hadn't heard of that before. Over here in the US all of the engines are removed, if they are turbine. Piston engines are usually left in the abandoned aircraft.
@@kennethm.pricejr.8921 Well.. these planes are representing obsolete technology those are min 50 yrs old. Nobody needs those parts anymore... or if some country would need them... they are on a ban list for sure.
The nearby airbase is still active, that is one of the most important airfields in Hungary, the other is located in Kecskemét. These dumped fighters were removed in the last few months, they have sold them to various places, some of them scrapped.

At 5:28 the part he is moving is the afterburner nozzle. The actual afterburner is a bit deeper inside the engine.
The nozzle fully opens when the Afterburner is used. Contrary to what many people believe a turbojet engine does not produce high pressured air but high-speed air. The nozzle is used to increase the velocity of the exhaust air.

Everyone wants the new NATO line of jets.
But they can only afford pitons junk fighters.
That's good for NATO.
One F-35 can take out all or most of this wreak if it were airborne.
This is what we Americans want to see coming up after us ,after we blow the Shit out of Putins lies.
Time someone assassinated that piece of SHIT.
1vs1 the F-35 would win 99% of the time, but 30vs1 the F-35 doesn't carry enough missiles or ammo to shoot them all down, and once there is visual contact the F-35 wouldn't survive 30 Mig 21s.

In India, we still have some 300 mig 21 on job in airforce... Accompanied by mig 27, 29 su30 Mki, jaguar, harrier, raffale, mirage....
Mig 21 is an ultimate machine...
The Su-22s were overhauled half a year before they were withdrawn from service... what a waste. Also, PĂĄpa AFB (btw, PĂĄpa is Hungarian for Pope) is now a base for the NATO Heavy Airlift Wing with 3 C-17 aircraft, and a Hungarian SAR helicopter is also stationed there.
Those SU-22 were good fighters ...The Peruvian Air Force has them in reserve until now.

Those aircraft were flown there and landed on that paved strip then pulled off onto the grass with tractors. I did not see concrete in the one they examined so it could still fly again with a little maintenance. Soviet doctrine is to never throw away anything, but set it aside so it can be used again.
They know that in a time things are not going well they still have so old reliables laying around. ..
This is classic and beautiful jets.
Beautiful videp
MiG 21, the aircraft that was full of innovation. First airplane with bubble cockpit, reliable, capable flying at twice of sound and also cheap due the mass production the price was cheaper than russian combat ground vehicle BMP 1.
Unfortunately lack of combat range, had only 3 hours of flight duration. Indonesia had MiG 21 and flight from Jakarta to Medan (normally 2 hours flight with B737 nowadays), the pilot told that he had only 3 gallons of fuel remaining before successfully landed in Medan
Bramantio S "first with bubble cockpit"?
Maybe in Indian or Pakistani AF, although I doubt even that - they must have had either late-model Spitfires, or P-51 Mustangs, even before getting jets. And at that point, the F-86 Sabre was all over the place, as was the MiG-15 - although the MiG didn't have a true bubble, then or in the -21.
But the -21 IS supersonic, although I'm not sure about that Mach 2 claim. Reliability depends on maintenance, whether you're talking MiG-21 or F-16. Or ANY jet aircraft. The MiG may well be the easiest to maintain.
I question the price vs. a BMP-1; USSR was practically giving those away.
The range limit was deliberate; Politburo didn't want defectors, and didn't trust ANYONE to come home if they could leave. Besides, less fuel is more payload.
First bubble cockpit? You haven't seen Spitfire & Thunderbolt then
As with case of Indonesia (my country too).. Indonesia bought MiG-21 and other Soviet bloc weapons.. with debt. That was during the hyperinflation/economic crisis of the country in 1960s.
Mig21 may be your old war horse but in the hands of capable Indian airwarriors like Wing Commander Abhinandhan it can still intercept and shoot down F16, as it happened just last week.
No proof of that yet.
@@markgill7284 Since when anyone accepted the loss of their F16?đ
@@Braveheartwriter India didn't accept the loss og MIG 21 at least 6 hours until PAK showed Abinandhan on TV and burning MIG21. Today if you claim something you have to prove it. PAK claimed that they shot down one SU30 as well but they don't have any proof of that. Now they are talking about that they have arrested one Israeli pilot as well but we don't have any proof of that. That's why we don't believe it. F16 shot down by a MIG21 is not confirmed.

As a reconnaissance member of the UN in 1992, I arrived at Zagreb airport (then still Yugoslavia) as the Yugoslavian Air Force where leaving the military part of the airport. They had parked all the remaining MIGS on the perimeter track and booby trapped most of them. They had also trashed the barracks - broke all the water pipes and shit everywhere. We eventually cleared the booby traps and a UN helicopter pilot got a Mig 19 started and taxied it around.
