- The story centres around Sejal, a NEET aspirant from Mhow, who moves to Indore for coaching. Her parents, despite financial constraints, find her a budget-friendly PG accommodation run by an elderly couple, Pooja (Big Aunty) and Pradeep (Kaka). Initially, everything seems fine, but Sejal notices the other girls in the PG are unfriendly and isolated.
After a visit home for Diwali, Sejal’s menstrual cycle becomes abnormally prolonged, causing severe weakness. Despite consulting doctors and trying traditional remedies suggested by Neha, a friend, her condition worsens. Eventually, a pandit suggests it might be black magic and gives her a protective thread and advice on regular prayers, which provides temporary relief.
Her health deteriorates again, and she starts missing classes. When Sejal fails to answer her family’s calls for two days post-NEET exam, her worried mother and Neha find her in a severely weakened state. They rush her to a spiritual healer (baba) who confirms a powerful black magic (Maran Kriya) is being used against her. Baba prescribes regular visits and specific rituals to counteract the magic.
Sejal’s health improves temporarily, but her parents are instructed to change her residence and perform purification rituals on her belongings. They move Sejal back home and follow baba’s advice, which leads to her full recovery. Later, they learn that the elderly couple were behind the black magic, using Sejal and other girls for their nefarious purposes.
Sejal’s NEET dreams are derailed, but she recovers and resumes her studies, enrolling in a diploma course in Indore. This incident leaves her traumatized, serving as a cautionary tale about the dangers of black magic and the importance of vigilance and traditional rituals for protection.
