yeah but that was one month… i think if we had the same thing for 2 years running like Ninjas saying with the different season each month or whatever it is it would get boring and repetitive.
I think that Fortnite should just put maps in rotation like apex but that might be asking to much

it revived the game and a lot of memories for us older players. it was bliss and still held that old school ability to replay

The game was less complicated which made it so much easier to come back to after a long time.
If they did bring og back I would like to see A change in the loot pull only every season instead of new maps bring back old guns not jus the og guns

Not only do we miss the old times, we miss the more simple times. The mechanics, abilities, environment, etc.. everything was simply just simple..

The thing is if they have both at the same time it would work at first since so many playerd would come back but then having your player base split into two different maps would be hard to sustain on the long run.
Or they would need to removd certain playlist like make OG fortnite only playable in pub solo and squad.
And maybe remove trio in the new maps.
I would love for Epic to put an OG season in every chapter, because one time I played Season OG and saw that there were 2 million, probably closer to 3 million people playing Battle Royale that day. Or make it a permanent side mode, just get rid of Team Rumble, and then it’s definitely possible.
My theory: I think gaming is on the downswing because it’s too competitive. Most games are made to be competitive and not for fun and people won’t play a game if they keep getting told they’re trash. At least that’s why I quit for a while.

Og just needs to come back already. The battle royale literally hasnt been good since chapter 3. It also honestly crazy how some people say everyone will instantly get bored of it and it will die if its made permanent. Yall dont know how wrong you are, especially if you didnt play back then
If there was a continuation of the chapter 1 storyline in an alternative timeline and we moved to season 11 instead then I would agree that it would keep the playerbase in, but if not then the og map will no longer be special as everyone will be bored in the end.
That hard thing about it is the fracturing of a community that is already divided in terms of gameplay. Once the original hype, the lobbies will be watered down between yet another game mode, and AI will be worse than ever. Seasonally bringing it back makes more sense imo

OG Fortnite needs to be permanent. The argument before was because of the storyline, well now there's no storyline AT ALL, so what's the excuse now?
If idiots at Epic Games were a bit more smart they'll understand that by bringing the OG map permanently that would mean more people playing therefore more people spending on their game, simple math.

I wouldn’t say permanent mode.. I think an OG szn every winter season during students winter break would be an awesome idea
i'd love to see it every summer in the principal modes with updates etc or an "alternative timeline" where it restarts from ch1 s1 and the story to begin after a apocalypse season or some time travel like s.OG and to begin with ch1 s1 map like a new beginning with new seasons every 2-3 months and live events and updates every week and to change the story and some of the locations (but dusty divot is a must :))and to keep it simple with the updates or the skins..not every update to be a collab..this is not fortnite...the collabs are great but not this many..collab after collab..is not ok..where is the creativity Epic Games brought to the gaming world and made fortnite such a great game back in the day..if Epic will take example from themselves in the past..this game will still be in the top.
I feel like it should be a permanent mode, away from the storyline though. They could even do 1 chapter every year, ch1, ch2 etc to keep it a little bit fresh.

I started at chapter 4 season 2 and i have to say i fell in love with the game. Im only dissapointed that its not the same game. I am curious to how the older seasons and chapters play though so it would be awesome to play the ufo one in my opinion.

About the OG Fortnite thing I thought about it so the discovery tab they should make a tab for battle Royale, and then make it so you can choose the season you wanna play and it can be zero build and build kinda like project nova

My daughter was born March 2017. I have played fortnite since before then. Stopped in chapter 2 .bc of the mech suits. Still crazy how many hours I have in the game I can only imagine lmfao
Ninja. You probably won't see this. But i'm a HUGE fan of Halo's battlepass system. The coolest thing is that you can go back and complete old battle passes to 100% whenever you want. Just select the pass and that's your active one. I think fortnite could benefit from this TREMENDOUSLY

Permanent OG would be a huge mistake. Come on Ninja you're old enough to know how things work. We want what we can't have! Look how McDonald's breakfast sales plummeted when they allowed us to have it all day. You don't see breakfast past 1030am anymore do ya? It would ruin the essence of OG as well. No, no and NO!

Imagine if with og coming back they also brought back old battle passes, and like the skull trooper skin so that anyone who already got it would get special styles or a remix version, OR have the battle pass as a premium version along with the pass for that season where you would pay extra like a mini pass and earn rewards along side the pass for that season. alot of new players including myself would definitely pay extra to get skins like master chief or deadpool!
Also the maps could rotate through seasons about once a week to keep OG fresh. ALSO epic should find a way to sort of separate sweats and casuals a little bit better, like if you're doing too good in normal br , it might tell you to play ranked for a while

idk i remember complaining so long about wanting og fort back before they even thought about bringing it back and when it finally did happen it was massively boring to play it made me appreciate how far fort has come at that point

The nostalgia was nice but it honestly got very boring after 1-2 weeks. Things change, people. Sometimes for the worse, sometimes for the better. Fortnite changed for the better. I mean, there's a reason they had to add all the mobility in the OG season and same with rifts around the map 🤷♂🤷♂

OG season reminded why Istopped playing during chapter 1. If it's chapter 2, well... I came back at some point during the last season of chapter 2 so I don't know anything about it.
I really hope they handle the next event better though... the amount of people that where there because of OG kinda ruined the event in terms of handling.

ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER VICTORY FOR THE OGS...
I played the most fortnite in OG season than I ever did. I don't blame them for not making it permanent it is genuinely all I'd play. And I'd actually play fortnite again. So that's a bonus it would bring in players that don't even play the game anymore let alone the ones that wanna play the main BR focus. And seeing as the storyline is basically poof it doesn't really matter anymore.

I’d have to disagree, I think it being seasonal would be better like every year they revive it, kind of like how they’re doing the “may the 4th” thing for Star Wars and stuff. But moving on and working on new seasons with new abilities and stuff helps keep the game fresh and it justs a change of fresh air, what is probably detering people from the new seasons is either poor balance or they simply just don’t particularly care for Fortnite outright.
Balance is certainly keeping me from playing right now, chain of hades and waterbending are broken in zero build man.

Nah Epic should start off making OG Fortnite an LTM, and then once the LTM is done, depending on how popular it was, make it a permanent game mode

Anything before chapter 5 I consider og because we didn’t have Lego, racing,festival, and weapon mods etc
