Whole thing looks like the "alternative" section in top shop in the 90s 😂

I like how people think they can 'do a festival' when in reality it takes a year of planning probably. I can feel the heat just watching this 🥵

It 100% should have been done towards autumn so less risk of heat stroke etc. I luckily had a good day as me and my mate I went with chugged tones of water before getting there and even took massive water bottles for the queue. He (the team) clearly wasn't very prepared to do this festival and I think it should have been on a cooler day as I said. It sucks so many people had shitty days and I feel for those people, I'm just lucky I wasn't having one of my fibro flare ups as I cant sit on grass due to allergies😅 (makes my legs all blotchy and itchy)

Hey, I was the one who commented on your other video saying don’t bring a camera to the make a friend tent, glad you were wrong about the make a friend tent. Funny enough I was actually next to you in the queue lol, (black dress with red and white on it infront of you at 1:34 ) but decided not to say anything cause 1 I have anxiety and 2 you seemed pretty chill in person, I didn’t want to make a fuss. I agree with you in some things, I love yungblud and his message, I think he had some great ideas for the festival. However there should’ve been water handed out in the queue even in small cups. Also yungblud added to his insta story on the day saying sorry about the long queue wait times, the security are just being careful and taking along time doing there job, But when I got there all they did was ask if I had perfume and do a quick glance of my bag. I had 6 compartments in my bag and they only checked 2, I could’ve easily brought in things like alcohol, drugs or weapons (ofc I didn’t but yknow what I mean). Also they should’ve been more strict on times. The damned played 15 more over their time and I was waiting for a busker to play but he couldn’t start because the damned were still playing. However this is year one and people learn from their mistakes so hopefully next year will be better 🤞 I’m sorry about my other comments, you’re a chill guy, keep up the good content, I’ve subscribed 👍

It's honestly totally fine. I know how I come across on here in text form. It doesn't give the inflection and tone of what I say, and how I say it. And an artist like Yungblud people are very protective and defensive of. I expected people to assume I'm after the worst.
I'm always happy with people to come say hi, at Download each year I have people asking for selfies and it's not an issue. Everyone on here interacting with me, watching my garbage are the ones giving me my platform. Do what ever I can for everyone on here.
Its why I am critical of everything. I don't want it to fail, I want it to get better. I want more grassroots festivals, I want more affordable music events, I want life post rona to be amazing for everyone.
Thank you for giving me a chance, I do appreciate it.

I was there with my daughter for her first gig it was appalling, she passed out in the middle of a cattle pen queuing syatem, i had to push through to security to plead for water to be met with a shrug and a no sorry, managed to get paramedic to get her to medic tent, it was full of kids vomiting from heatstroke. My daughter has access card which was denied along with others next to us in queue with them, I heard some people had mecication taken off them and one person who can't have the detector wand passed over them as could be lethal and security still insisted. Security were saying theres no water yet were passing it amongst themselves to drink in front of people passing out.

Holy crap. Is your daughter OK?

@@brickinmouthsyndromeshe is now yes but was very scary when it happened whilst penned in at entrance we were stuck at and the security reaction was frankly disgusting, the paramedics told me that they weren't allowed to hand out water, they wanted to take her straight to medic tent but she had to sit on chair on verge of passing out whilst security demanded to check our bags, ironically the medic tent 50 yards from our entrance and queue had crates of water sitting in ice and seemed to be reserved only for those that passed out rather than handing out and actually preventing it. They were also very under staffed, our entrance had about 8 or 9 security gates with only 3 gates open.

Wow that's so messed up. Do you mind if I put these posts in my video about the issues on the day?

@@brickinmouthsyndrome No not at all, go for it mate, I was vocal on the bludfest posts i noticed a lot of the people reporting on it their comments would disappear, a lot of YBs super fans are seemingly very enamoured and seem to think queuing 4/5 hours is perfectly normal some were even blaming me for not being prepared for it but we all seen how shit it was. But yeah go for it dude :)

@@brickinmouthsyndrome thanks for the video, found it hard to actually get an honest opinion on the fest.
I work with a small indie fest no more than 400ppl, we would not get away with doing stuff like this. I get his idea and its a shift in the right direction, butttt its the 'idea' of a indie festival with lame'o corp management still

I'm getting some interesting reactions from people for being honest about this.
You've nailed that. Anyone else would be dragged through hell for delivering an event like this. The core idea is great, very admirable and I wanted it to be good, unfortunately the delivery left a lot on th table and was severely lacking.
Now, a 400 person event sounds really cool and intimate. Consider my interest piqued.

@@brickinmouthsyndrome I think its such a powerful thing human beings congregating to dance and let loose to music, it makes me feel a little giddy inside when festivals and tribal gatherings are so corporate and white washed. Everyone should bring a little something something to the table, equal contributions of each individuals speciality. For the people by the people.
Personally I don't really like big crowds, anything over 3000 and I get disorientated. I like connection and to feel at home with everyone on a site and respected by the organisers fully. I can appreciate mass gatherings and the need to cater to something that volume, but personally I just don't vibe with it.
The events industry is in a strange place right now, I think more independents need to clobber together and organise more gatherings with their crews and their crews crews ..
Have you ever thought about a fest .. these things don't have to be mass scale and la-de-da .. gatherings of humans, music, talent, creativity, acceptance, freedom....
      Rambling

I am trying to take a measured approach to this. He may be the name, face and head of all of this going on, he may also have had final say.... But I refuse to believe the actions and inaction of so many others can be squarely blamed on Dom. He has to speak up, he has to do better if he ever does this event again. But I refuse to blame him entirely and directly. That's a committee that organised this, this lays on them.

Let's say.... it wasn't a good first run at a festival. I'm glad other people managed to have a fun day and some didn't have these issues, but there's a lot who had it way worse than me.
