In short, if you are looking at a new pressure washer for your car or anything that will require a pressure washer this is IT. Thank you for letting me know about the 3.0 orifice as well. The EGO pressure washer is a perfect unit for those like myself who live in a rental community and either don't have access to running water or proper power. My detailing garage is about 50 feet away from my washpad and have setup a cart using a Worx Hydroshot the last two years but it has limitations. For one the hose is short and very stiff because because of the molded power cord from trigger to the motor plus the performance is lack luster but gets the job done. I'm less than two weeks away from ordering this for a major upgrade with the EGO!

    Good build quality, 5A batteries really good, no problem Had this item just over 1 week, used it to clean several cars, the batteries have not needed recharging. Fantastic build quality, I would recommend this; I work as a professional car valet and I need something reliable and effective. Early days but absolutely brilliant so far. You should buy the right tool for the job. If you're cleaning a huge area of drive or a really lengthy job, don't buy a cordless! This is fantastic if used for the correct work and is a great tool.

    I’ve got the Ego mower, blower, trimmer and hedge cutter and love them. I have 2 batteries to run them and it works fine. For a pressure washer I don’t see the value in battery power, especially the high price and extra batteries. For me a corded electric pressure is fine and much less expensive.

    I love my ego power washer, it was a bit expensive but considering if you were to buy two of their 6 amp batteries separate, that’s $600 of product right off the rip, so the price is generally not too terrible. I have used mine up at my off-grid hunting camp where a garden hose is non existent. I did have to haul a bunch of water jugs up in my truck but the siphon hose attachment works perfectly when just dunked in a bucket or big pot full of water, I really like that aspect for off-grid useage. Ive got a solar system set up at my camp so I can charge the batteries as needed off my inverter, so no issue with power for me. Even so, I did buy two of the 12 amp hr batteries since I saw a 2 pack for a good deal. Hopefully that’ll extend the run time enough to not even have to switch batteries during a pretty long job

    Instinctively, everyone thinks that our battery powered unit would somehow be lower performance. The fact is, batteries can provide much higher current than your wall outlet can AND it’s DC current. The downside, of course is runtime. So, you can get Kranzle 240V performance, albeit only for about 15 mins, before you have to recharge.

    • @josephnaras
      @josephnaras Před 4 měsíci

      Run time should be the same regardless. The run time is determined by power (in watts) used. Since this has no variable trigger and it is set power levels, as long as the system is running, it should be pulling consistent wattage regardless of the head, wand, or nozzle. Only thing to do to improve the run time is to use lower power settings or get bigger batteries

    On the other side you also dont want to leave them on the charger for an extended time.
    I dont want to promote other websites, but let me know if you'd like resources that support the above information.
    Also recommended recharge for lithium ion is between 50 and 100 so if you finish up a job dont hesitate to throw it back on the charger to full charge and take off.

    Why not add a power cord to give you options and make te device itself a battery charger?

    Looks good. HD will definitely need to drop the price of theirs or at least throw in a battery kit. Otherwise the only people that will buy it will be people in the Ryobi battery system, but even then they may opt for a unit with much more power.
    One downside is selling a unit that uses two batteries, but the charger can only charge one at a time, but that's typical I guess. I had the same issue with my mower.

    This is one of those things that is great if you need it, but a waste of money if you don't. If you have power available you can get a better pressure washer with no limits on the amount of time you can use it.

    Gotta look at it as a kit, each ego battery is expensive, so really its a great deal if you plan on buying more ego products. Batteries alone expensive af.

    I wonder if they'll try to make an air compressor. If they do that, for a mobile detailing setup I feel like you could eliminate a gas generator and run purely off of batteries, since they already have a vacuum, pressure washer, and air blower for drying. Am I missing anything that would need power in a mobile setup? And then if you have solar to charge those batts, you could be running off of free clean power. The question is how long it would take to pay all of that off versus just using the traditional setup. Not to mention a lot of homes will let you use their power.

    So if you had to… you can buy off brand batteries. They work fine, and are a decent bit cheaper than egos batteries but they might have quality issues.
