I want Seattle to get a team again so them and OKC can have a rivalry
Just imagine the loud boos from Sonics fans when the thunder players goes on the Sonics court.
You wanna NBA franchise in Seattle? Buy the lakers from Jeanie. I’d like to see media and citizens react to how the greatest franchise moves into emerald city.
@@Mrcharles. you mean jeanie, and no the lakers will never leave l.a.
I pefure the clippers instead
Mitch Williams there won’t be a rivalry.... the Thunder should just move back
@@murphymurph Think when LeBron James was playing for the Miami heat his return to Cleveland won't compare to that moment
Seattle deserve a NBA team!
the nba deserves the sonics honestly...why wouldnt you want to keep them?...all pro sports need seattle...think about the money they are losing have teams in san antonio utah miami toronto milwauke oklahoma sacramento minnesota and new orleans and orlando and think about the profits the 8th biggest city in america which seattle is could give them lol...i dont understand ...seattles a huge market...why not bring them back?...why would you rather lose money by having teams in certain areas...and not in big areas?...
+razkable it's worse than the Atlanta Thrashers left for Winnipeg
Im a Lakers fan and I say bring back the supersonics... Give them their franchise back and
start up a new Oklahoma team from scratch. Seattle certainly deserves to be in the NBA.
Bring back the Seattle Supersonics to the NBA!
back when sportscenter was still good
Hoping with the renovations to KeyArena (now Climate Pledge Arena) and the addition of the expansion NHL team the Seattle Kraken, I hope this leaves the door open for the Sonics return.
Looses NBA team, Wins the superbowl.
That’s similar to Houston’s situation. However, loses NFL team, wins the NBA Finals.
@@crosstatt7441it’s funny you say that thunder and the titan lost in the Super Bowl and NBA finals
@@trillamannwinters6963 I’m glad that I could make you laugh. However, I meant that the Houston Rockets won the NBA Finals two years before the Oilers left town. Later, to be renamed the “Titans”. The Seahawks won the Super Bowl a few years after the SuperSonics left town.
Fuck yeah, shout out to the Reign Man and Seattle Times sports writer Steve Kelley, I grew up with you guys! Long time jets fan, breaks my heart the Sups left town, now I only really watch the NBA during the NBA Finals. Miss my team.
Shawn Kemp is now a local business owner here in Seattle. Stop by his place, Oskar's, in the Queen Anne area and enjoy some good grub.
3:06 RIP Sonics Guy
seeing Kemp dunk us awesome no matter how old he is
I have shot hoops where Shawn and Kenney are. It's called Kerry Park up on Queen Anne hill, Seattle.
Good to see Kemp doing well!
I've got to meet the man working in the cannabis industry, a fan for life lol
Okc fans-loses 3 insane players.
Okc fans-no one can feel our pain
New jersey Vancouver-We lost our team u dont know anything
Sonics fans-bitch they took away our team changed the logo name and the jerseys and everyone except okc fans want our team back and most people think the start of the down fall of the nba was when the sonics left. And they did not let us keep our mascot that was the best looking nba mascot ever. For a fucking bison.Coming from a wizards fan
It has zero to do with lack of fan support. Besides that last season - when the OKC ownership did everything they could to keep people away (watch SonicsGate) the Sonics consistently had outstanding attendance.
Bring back our Sonics!!!
If the Seattle Sonics stayed Kd woulda never left.
😂😂😂😂 you think KD is loyal 😂😂😂😂
You know they could share an arena with the kraken if they ever make a return
Where even is Oklahoma on the map?
I mean its the only pro team in the state so like oregon it matters to them@@murphymurph
@Bruno Fawks Washington state. Top left corner in the US.
Whenever I see the Sonics I think of the Thunder song from Ted's movie.
Man it wouldve been cool to see KD Harden and Westbrook all in Sonics uniforms
Rip Sonics guy
This is real hurt. Cleveland fans bitch and whine about ONE GUY leaving but they can rebuild around Kyrie Irving and the 4th pick in this year's draft. Seattle has no such resort.
I feel for you, Seattle. Just like I felt for Charlotte when they took their Hornets. Those two teams were a big part of my childhood (Payton/Kemp and LJ/Alonzo).
The thunder are an abomination that never should have happened. It was a sequence of unfortunate events that led to the team just getting ripped out of their true home and it really started when coffee douche bought the team. If just a couple little things go differently we(Seattle) might have never lost them. There was supposed to be a senate vote to hold the team to their lease at key arena through 2010 that I think most people agree that if our mayor at the time hadn’t been a total bitch and caved to the nba before it could happen it would’ve passed. Had they been held to their lease for 2 more seasons, with the economy going to shit in 2008 there’s a good chance clay would’ve had to sell the team and it could have been rescued by someone who would keep it in Seattle, and I think the necessary facility upgrades would’ve happened in due time. Our mayor selling us out was a big part of it and it’s the one area where I’ll place at least a little bit of blame on Seattle.
who doesnt hes the goat always has been he looks too cool with his shades rocking the breakaway glasses beast mod ethat mans got the swag
1:08 Shawn Kemp Dunking
Bring back GRUNGE AND SONICS
the sonics had the coolest color way in the nba
does it keep u awake at night. “no, not really” 😂💀
The Thunder Are Cursed From Seattle
Yeah but Bennett said over and over he had no intentions of moving the team and did. I just hope the Maloofs sell the Kings to Hansen already and get basketball back in Seattle! I'm a wizards fan but I always loved seeing them play in Seattle and a competitive Seattle team.
A lot of Sonics fans knew the whole thing with Bennett was a sham from day one and didn't want to give their money to a dude that was bent on moving the team. To a lot of fans the team was as good as gone long before the actual move. Aubrey McClendon confirmed that. His honesty cost him $200,000 but at least he was honest that he and Bennett's group were in it to move the team all along. Fan attendance over the last 2 seasons were pretty much irrelevant.
kemp sounds like the allstate guy
Pretty sweet catch at the end.
2:56
same. BUT I STILL WANT EM BACK😂
Before I found out that the thunder took the sonics away I was in OKC fan. But after I found out all this was going on last year I sold all my Oklahoma City thunder equipment and got Seattle stuff instead,go sonics!
The didn't steal them but the way you are talking like mean New Jersey got stolen from
+Mini_Mac_03 clay Bennett took the sonics and moved them. New Jersey decided to move their own team you dumbshit
u trash Seattle had a 41 year Legacy
The only city outside Miami rooting for the Heat in the 2012 NBA finals was Seattle
Your not telling the whole story, Howard Schultz was a fan boy who thought he could run a basketball team. He traded all the talent for draft picks, in the future. The team was terrible, and Howard cut his loses and sold Seattle out. So enjoy your stolen squad okc you deserve the squalor your team will dwell in for years to come! Oddly the NBA game changed shortly after, the NBA doesn't deserve Seattle!
Honestly I didn't care too much they left, OKC had nothing to do in their town until they got a basketball team :'( At least they're happy and seem to enjoy it
That too but the city is building up every year. They went from the 21st largest city in US to 17th
Now that the sonics are gone, IDK who to root for, I’ve been rooting for the rockets then I felt like it was the wrong thing to do
But, there is still more hate towards Clay Bennet and Oklahomans than there is towards Howard Shultz. If I was in the Seattle fans position, my hate would be more towards Howard Shultz, I would never buy Starbucks again, I would boycott Starbucks, cause Shultz knew what was gonna happen. He's not a dumb businessman, he knew exactly what Bennet was up to. But that he wanted that 300 plus million for the team.
You can blame Howard Schultz and the state, too.
@@crosstatt7441 Definitely blame Schultz, but why should the taxpayers be forced to pay for a privately-owned stadium?
@@andyjay729 I don’t believe that stadium, arenas, and other sports venues should be privately owned. If a city wants a team or to host sporting events, then it should pay for a portion of it.
Okc doesn't deserve a team Seattle does
Sharpshooter 02 doesn’t matter they were stolen from us fuck Oklahoma
@@mykiefrm20 nah Okc didn’t steal them they just packed and left lmfaoo #ThunderUpBitch ⚡️🆙
Bring back the Sonics!
Bring back our Sonic
The new arena wasn't going to have restaurants or wifi?
kenny mayne rick reily stu scott the only three respectable guys at espn seriously they go out and arent ever really there cause that place is for dbags only now apparently has been since 2008
Weird it’s been like 15 years and still nothing...
whats the name of the song in the beginning? while kemp is dunking
I hope seattle can get a new nba team, their fans deserve it and then they can get revenge on okc thunder.
Austin Texas is our new team soccer team
Kill the thunder, Don't let the Sonics Slumber.
Don't forget about the Kraken
2:09 did he say "My-Hammy" ??
Watch Seattle win another title before OKC. That's my prediction. In fact, the new sonics might win before OKC even sniffs the finals again.
They should direct their hate towards Howard Shultz. He was the one dumb enough to sell the team. Starbucks sales should have dropped after he did that to them. Clay Bennet is not the villain. He was just a businessman making business moves. You can't hate him for taking a team to his hometown. THUNDER UP!!!!
whats worse havin no team or the bobcats ?
The Hornets are back in Charlotte.
WTF SEATTLE IS A RICH ASS CITY LIKE WHY
Jason Reid is a Bandwagon Jumper
So if they decline the sale; basically... the BOG and the owners will be proclaiming -
"Albeit this is a legitimate bid & even though he's ready to build an arena & I know they'll give you $550 million bucks & we get that the local TV deal is 5-6 times more than where you are now & wow the group is only 3 people with giant pockets who are local to their target market which is btw 13th in the country - YOU CANT SELL TO HIM"
Sales of franchises dont get anymore legit than that!
AND WE STILL DONT HAVE A TEAM
Yeah I saw it. it was pretty funny how every time the Heat scored they would go crazy in happiness!
comeback to seattle please
anyone saw the sonics flag in game 4? i did.
I will have to you teams and will help you and back there team our way
Lol you are so ignorant that I don't know where to begin. Seattle is the 12th largest market in the USA. Seattle supported the Sonics for 41 years and actually has history behind the team unlike Sacramento. I'm pretty sure that we could support them again lmao. Oh and as far as an NHL team, research was already done on the possibility of a team coming to Seattle. We definitely can support 5 teams. I think someone is a little upset they live in a one horse town down there in Sacrmento... ;)
I'd understand if they were going to block the sale to... MC Hammer and and Wesley Snipes; but it's only three incredibly rich guys, who call Seattle home...
And hate all you want; I love Seattle - love visiting whenever I can; but the market is simply... far bigger! & the potential to actually make money with a franchise? It dwarfs whatever brand Sacramento can make out of anything.
They should give BOTH cities what they want, but they wont. I bet Seattle; better choice in the long run
Uh...
The owner reserves the right to sell their property to who'm they feel brings the best offer. In this case, the Maloofs feel that is Seattle.Sac tried; came up 25 Million $ short. Out of 500, it may not look like much... But anyone want to tell me 25 million dollars isn't alot of money?
The raptors should be in seattle
Are*
fuck hating on the heat they got the glove a ring in 06' Go HEAT!!!
Again I am all for Seattle to have the Supersonics or any new basketball team they plan to make but I am not for a fan base to complain when they don't support their team. 4 thousand empty seats is big for a struggling team that needs support other then when they get moved. And a "gutted" team is no excuse to not support your team. The Rose Garden in Portland holds 19 thousand and the attendance record for Blazer games for last year was over 20 thousand. Not bad for a non playoff team.
Nah. Not nobody. Not “nobody.” /

Go blazers
seattle is still with out nba team so now what?
They are STILL without an NBA team
They are still without an nba team
Are you a Thunder fan?
Man that guy with the beard was SALTY!
Wow, they let Kevin Durant go! They didn't believe in the Slim Reaper! And now they wanted our Kings and DeMarcus Cousins! No, you're not getting D Boogie, and get off our Sac!
***** Because California doesn't share the same team. Every team has a different fan base. The Lakers, the Clippers, the Warriors, and the Kings all have their own fans. The Lakers and Kings are rivals. And the Clippers and Warriors are rivals.
Also, the Kings fans have the record for the loudest crowd in the NBA.
patrick hirang When I get a chance, I'll watch it. Just for you.
Marz916 They didn't let him go you idiot he had to move with franchise to okc. Seattle knew he was going to be great but they only got 1 season of him......
Gabriel Guzman
They let the Sonics go along with Durant! Couldn't keep your team!
+Marz916
Lol wow talk about someone who has no idea what they're talking about.
Why can't they just add the Sonics as an expansion team?
The new arena wasn't the only thing. I am all for Seattle keeping another horrible sports team but lets face the facts; the Seattle fans only seriously cared about their team when they finally learned the team was moving to OKC. Look at the attendance averages for the last 4 years of the Sonics: 16,475, 16,198, 15,955, and 13,355. 13,355! That's low for a fan base who wants to keep their team. Now for the first 4 years of the Thunder: 18,704, 18,003, 18,148, and 18,203. OKC seems to care more.
That happens to every team that is struggling. Most “fans” in any city are just bandwagon fans
Yeah buddy, 9 years later and now look at OKCs attendance now that they are losers. They are at the bottom of the league in attendance....last I checked, 28th out of 30 teams. The Sonics always had loyal fans and supported their team even in leaner times. When the bandits from Oklahoma bought the team and planned on moving no matter what...that's when Sonics fans lost interest in supporting that bandit-owned franchise on it's way out of Seattle.
@@tommurphy2746they literally still averaged 18k+ until the pandemic. 14k in 2021, 15k in 2022. So explain how a city with much fewer people is STILL averaging a larger crowd than the Sonics in Seattle. I’ll wait
I'm very late but from what I understand, OKC has nothing else to do. And they were gifted a promising franchise. Would be hilarious if they end up leaving OKC.
They were literally stolen from Seattle
the nba would only give them an already established team..no way their every getting a new team back...
Wrong....Adam Silver has already said the NBA will be adding 2 expansion teams in the future, and he said Seattle is at the top of that list, with possibly Las Vegas.
A guy pretending to be chuck norris how nice.
I think the NBA needs less teams. Out of the 30 they have now only like 15-20 of them are any good. I think it would be better to shut down 10 teams and bring in 5 new ones. It would give people in Seattle and other places who want a team a competition. Like which ever 5 cities can get the most players to want to player for them. It would create money and interest in not only the NBA but the cities as well.
get over it! your city would not pay for a new arena that's why you have no team.
Like 200 something straight sell outs in Oklahoma City, yall won't be getting our team, trust me the Thunder are the best fan base in sports history, and the most loyal.

William Thomas I'm happy he's gone he blew a 3-1 lead
William Thomas no the city of Seattle is for letting him
Mason Topping nope they don't deserve a team they stole a team from Seattle they had them for 41 fucking years okc will never win a championship
Yeah because there's so much to do in Oklahoma City LOL. I'm sure the whole damn City goes to games
OKC BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
JUST GET A NEW TEAM. BLOODY SIMPLE.
Just know y'all will never win a championship. Once Russell gets tired of losing he'll want to leave just like Kevin Durant. Then goes Paul George to LA. OKC will never win and will forever be Golden states and san Antonio's and LeBron's bitch
We are trying obviously okc is not doing to good
Plus you hate a state just because of a basketball team you should rute them on its the same team with different city, name, colors and mascot
It ain't the same team dumbass.

go away you bitchass
Isaac Looper same franchise
@@mini_mac_0353 it's just not the same. You don't understand. It's like losing a family member you loved your whole life
I'm pissed for Seattle, well at least kd and Russ gone, karma's a B clay Bennett
@Westbrook Dunked On Stephanie Lurry he's going to sick and tired of losing soon buddy. He's going to leave soon. No one wants to play for a state that's chokes in basketball and is only known for being good in college football
Sure is
1. Get over it
2. Seattle fans wouldn't even come to the games, OKC sold out consecutively with the New Orleans Hornets Temp stay during Katrina and with the Thunder even with their losing season. Not to mention the crowds that flood the streets in Bricktown on game days and play offs...far cry from the minimal attention of Seattle fans.
3. Your management sold it. OKC was in the Market but Seattle made the offer. Wasn't even suppose to be a Basket ball team. Chesapeake center was renovated for an NHL Team which fell through.
4. robbed? your city fell several votes short to overturn the sell and build a new stadium. BTW not peep or protest from fans... few there were
5. Now that they have upper management that knows what they're doing(recruiting, marketing, and trades), winning season, all stars players and couch, with this video tell me which city exactly is acting like the crazy Ex.
6. the fans: 50 people protesting the move in Seattle to OKC and no where to be found when the Sonics were there does not impress me. A sold out crowd in OKC that even after losing their first playoff appearance to the Lakers in the first round(who went on to win the championship 2008), the crowd stood and did not leave the stadium and applauded their team for a successful season.
That's class, Those are real fans. That's a city that deserves the Team.
Sonics fans are just mad because Durant turned out to be good.
TheCream12 They are mad because the sonics left. He was only with the team for 1 season. Give him 2 mores seasons they would had a superstar but stern sold the team before that could happen that's why they are mad.....
gw311 Seattle won championships okc haven't and will never because they will always be shit
"Get over it"

You'll never understand 41 years, new guy.
Bleach you are aware by technicality okc take the championship with them
Just be happy with what you have and quit all the negativity and soon you'll get a team

You still have basketball it's called the WNBA it's still basketball or watch college
😂 fam u aint right for that one
I agree with you I love basketball, The Storm are great, Seattle U is making a comeback, U of Wash. Huskies women kick ass. I was there in 1967 at 7 years old watching these guys as tall as trees playing hoops called the Seattle SuperSonics, I am hoping the green and yellow comeback someday.
Seattle still deserves an NBA team
Lucas Lehn I agree they should get one but a lot of people get butt hurt selfish cry and hate a lot people because of a sports team
The NBA is a rigged sport anyways. I actually use to root for the bulls dominance in the 90s, and I'm a washingtonian! I was brainwashed. Like most tv watching drones. The Sonics will never come back in any shape or form. I love playin ball but the NBA is just meh.
That whole paragraph didn't make any sense. Learn some grammar. You may have the Kings, but obviously not the smarts. Oh and you guys didn't fight for the Kings. Your mayor did lol. I do respect him though and I'm glad you guys don't have to feel what we felt 5 years ago. You are the type of Sac fans no one likes. Grow up and get some class.
If you miss basketball so much go support your WNBA team, better yet call them the Sonics so you can quit crying about how you miss the Sonics so much.
Get over it
Get over it? Some people like hoops and their team more than you do. If you can "get over it" once the Thunder leave OKC, then you were never a true fan to begin with.
Too bad they won't win a title in your lifetime. Karma's a bitch.
David Lopez Westbrook was drafted to the SUPERSONICS not Thunder

Waaaaaaaah!!! Waaaaaaaah!!! Sonics fans are still crying about their team leaving their shitty city because they didn't support their team! Waaaaaah!!!
YouTook TheBait The Sonics literally had great attendance the new owner just made ridiculous demands for a new stadium and used the city denying them as an excuse to bail to Oklahoma. Imagine if your favorite team went to some shitty city out Midwest because of some shitty owner.
They don’t deserve a NBA if they won’t build them a new arena. Quit crying and spend the money
