'Game of Thrones' star Gwendoline Christie says script for final season left her 'deeply startled': 'They pulled out all the stops for this one'
Actress Gwendoline Christie is stepping back into her armor for the final season of HBO's "Game of Thrones."
Christie, who plays fearless warrior Brienne of Tarth, said the show's producers went all-out for the series finale.
"It was a real emotional roller coaster because things happened that deeply startled me, upset me. I went bright red in the face, I had to put them down," Christie told "GMA" on Wednesday.
"It was a really extraordinary experience and I realized they pulled out all the stops for this one."

Try going up against a cinematic corporate juggernaut with your mouth, voice, input, suggestions and see how far it get’s you. Fired is what, unless you do as they say.
She is such an underutilized actress. In both Game of Thrones and the latest Star Wars Trilogy, her screen-time is so minimal. But her characters deserve so much more.
Her charakter in star wars is garbage, but its because of the writing and her short screen time.

@@Curt_Randall it's not just a couple minutes, we've seen Brienne's story from being a pit fighter to king's guard to Renly to serving Cat to her journey with Jaime and their little "romance". She has spoken about her childhood and struggles, we've seen her fight many times and she even defeated the hound in combat and rescued Sansa from the Boltans... Her story has more depth to it than Bronn or Rickon and she is not even a main character in the show, of course she's not gonna get as much screen time as Jaime or Tyrion for example...

@@xoYaSsYox I don't think so. Not completely fucked up. I think the living will win, but at a great cost. GRRM said the ending would be bittersweet, not bitter. If the white walkers do happen to win, I bet they turn out to not be the bad guys we thought they were.

OMG that laugh is so genuinely relatable. I've fallen in love with her even more.
Seeing this after watching 8x05 is beyond eye-opening and so depressing. When Gwendoline says "At the final episode, I just... I put it down with a very heavy heart. Digesting everything that occurs. And some things are put to rights, and some things truly are NOT." Ugh you just know she's talking about Jaime leaving Brienne for Cersei, Dany becoming the Mad Queen and killing thousands of innocent people and children, etc. I'm SO fucked up :'( Poor Gwen. At least she feels our pain and vice versa.

Watching interviews with Gwen makes me so happy, she is so sweet and talks calmly but in a very entertaining way.
One of the best characters in the show. Her and The Hound fighting was one of my favourite scenes.

But on past seasons all scripts were on a locked briefcase and had the name of the person so they would know whose fault it was if pictures of it got out and all. And with the last season being so important seems so weird they would just email it just like that, even with a private server.
