  • Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the leading cause of death for women worldwide. In 2018, 27.2% of women died from CVD in Singapore, which accounts for about 1 out of 3 female deaths. Women are as vulnerable as men to get CVD. Knowing the common risk factors and recognising the signs and symptoms is the first step in fighting against CVD and saving women’s lives.
