Great video and quite a lot going on in a short space of time. Looked very enjoyable. And it was great to say hello at Wycombe Air Park today. Thanks for your 'wing man' help - much appreciated!
Funny how things like this pop into my YT feed. I used to instruct at Leeds in the late eighties, and have flown that route many times to/from Sherborne - we used to teach our studes the different techniques for operations from grass there. You mentioned somewhere that you’re now in an airline - when someone commented on how your flying was going at Coventry. Is there a school there? My lad is just doing his A levels, but looking to fly as a career (despite my best efforts to put him off). The only schools I know are Oxford, Jerez and CTC (or L3, or whatever they’re called this week). Have fun in whichever airline you’re at, I doubt we’ll ever fly together, as I’ll have retired in a few years - but there are plenty of great people out there that still enjoy the job!
Actually, though I don’t really do social media, I’ve just found you on FB.... and see you must have used ‘Scrabble’s’ services! (Andrew Neofyto) I’ve had the pleasure of flying with Andrew a few times. FlyBe is a great place to cut your teeth. I think everyone should have some turboprop experience - operating in iffy conditions in marginal performance aircraft teaches you a lot more than going straight to a FBW type jet. ....and we have recently taken people straight from turboprops to the 78 since EASA relaxed the weight restrictions on ZFT training - so you never know!..... ...and I’m just researching Aeros now..... like you, I self funded everything - I didn’t realise this was still an option!
Hello Ben. How are you holding up through this pandemic? Still flying? I'm in quarantine for another 5 days but am being encouraged to stay home. How about you? Be careful and fly safe
Hi Ben. I noticed you’re really good with your radios. I’ve just started my PPL with 7 hours under my belt so far. When you started out learning to fly, did you practice a lot in the plane or did you practice at home? Or is there a good resource to use? Also, how do you manage to fly so much? I’d love to fly the hours you do but the costs are restrictive. How do you manage to afford it? Sorry for all the questions. Keep up the great work Chris
I’ve worked full time in sales to fund all my flight training, check out my videos you’ll learn more about it. For type RT I suggest looking into flight simulator with Vatsim that can really help online!
Stumbled across your channel and can’t stop watching. Keep up the good work
Brilliant landing 👍🏴
What a great video to come back from work to! Good job on that landing too.
Thanks a lot Joe! It was an ok landing, just have to manage the energy!

That’s awesome Nigel, SO nice to meet you! Hope you go back gliding again and I look forward to bumping into you again!
Nice ,brings back memory's of a c172 I learned to fly in. Greased that landing as well ,great work.
Thank you!
That was really good and interesting.
Hi Ben, I'm a dispatcher at LBA(egnm) and saw you land, didn't realise it was you!!
Hope it didn’t look like too much of a battle with the crosswind! Thanks for watching.
@@PlaneOldBen it was "butter", very nice landing. No worries keep up the good work!
Fab vid. Will keep an eye and check out your stuff in the future.
Excellent Crosswind Landing there 👏👏👏👏
I've done this flight loads of times on FSX! I had a few lessons out of Multiflight years ago(before the kids came along and took all my money).
Dam those children!
1:14 G-SACR, PA28. I passed my GFT in that in 2002. It was white and red then. Good to see her still in use!
17 years on and I’m currently using G-SACR to train for my GFT aswell
Loved the crosswind correction after touchdown. All the way, then some more, maybe with two hands? I tend to do the same.
Thanks a lot!
Awesome as always !
Thank you very much!
Awesome ben
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very crisp RT as always Ben. Excellent little video!
Thanks a lot Steve!
Nice flight Ben. Appreciate your videos. Fly safe
Thank you Gary!

Thanks a lot Phil, really nice advice. Andrew was fantastic with his training and I’m super happy to be flying such a great aircraft for my first job!
Hey do you know whwre i can fill out a ppr form so i can do this?
Hello rk.planespotter from insta :) , very sport once again about Flybe, wishing the best for you

Hello Ben. How are you holding up through this pandemic? Still flying? I'm in quarantine for another 5 days but am being encouraged to stay home. How about you? Be careful and fly safe
What were you using to record audio here Ben? Just Gopro with splitter cable?
Best video ever true inspiration to be ✈️👨✈️
Thanks for watching Jack!
Really like you're vids. Where are you based?
Why don't you post anymore ?
He’s f,ting for Flybe now on the dash 8. So uploads have slowed as doesn’t do GA stuff much anymore.
Do you have the video of the flight into Sherburn?
I don’t sorry, but there’s a few of those on the channel!
Must be nice just to be solo for a change..
Nice video Ben. Just wondering what you were doing in Yorkshire? And how the training at Coventry is going?
I’ve finished my training now and have an airline job! Check out my social media accounts.
@@PlaneOldBen well done when did u get the job ? Where are you based and what airline
Nice video Ben! That crosswind landing looked hard!
Thanks for watching Louis!
Great video, at 0,58, shouldn't you shout "clear prop!" out of a window (or door, seeing all of that video gear on it)?
Dont have to. I dont if i know there isn’t anyone about
Very nice mate. Hope to fly into LBA once I’ve got my license, what’s the experience of landing there like?
No different to any airport really, just need to watch the wind!
Ben excuse stupid question but still training ppl - what did he mean enter CAS via echo?
It was via Eccup (Reservoir) rather than Echo - the VRP to use as the entry to CAS.
Mark Keely thank you - I must of misheard.. appreciated
@@FlightMariner Easily done - I watched all of Ben's videos when I was training and they are a great way of improving your RT.
Hi Ben i jsut wonder what app do you use for navigation iam doing my ppl just strugglin a bit in navigation thank you
