    Anybody knows where could I get this music in western notation? I am a classical violinist but I would love to practice and play this kind of music, thanks!

      Hi Alba, it is easy to transcribe the notation from the original Indian classical notation. Of course the embellishments will take some time to work through.

      @@skandanmusic One has to get the version from an Indian book of varnams and transcribe it in a key of their choice. MSG plays with E as Sa so we can interpolate from there. For example, the opening line is PMR, G,G, RSR, which could be transcribed as BAF#, G,G, F#EF#....
      But playing it like he does, with all the slides and gamakas on one finger on one string, it is the most extreme way to ever play a violin.

      I suggest you search and find this book called "Oriental music in European Notation", which is an attempt in 1894 to publish Carnatic music songs in Staff notation. It should be publicly available. Many songs in it are actually very accurately transcribed.
