Unfortunately there was a little mixup with my student's work credits: Instead of Esme Loasby it's Béliza Mendes Painting! You can find her Instagram here: @belizamendes
Less is totally more! And that *is* the hardest lesson to learn. For me, the second hardest lesson is to loosen up. I still struggle with too-tight paintings. Grrrr🤬🤬🤬
I know, it's so hard!!! 😬
Same…and I’ve been watercolor painting for 20 years! 😅
PHEW the don't seek perfection tip! Once I realized that in my own journey it was _liberating_ . 💯
😍😍 awesome!!
UR ART IS AMAZING
The "not be too perfect about details is a big one" Painting like a child takes a life time... A guy called Picasso said that 😄 And it is important to take care about paper about not to draw too much cause you can make imperfections when paint go over it... I did a painting BUT I didn't work out cause that... Good video! 👍🏼🙂
Very talented painting dear friend💜. Keep supporting us. Have a great day
This video is fantastic. Very usable tips. I especially love the analogy of watercolor layers being like layers of colored glass. :)
so light and delicate looking! 😀
Amazing painting!!
You explain things so well, and your voice is very calming.
I am grateful to learn important skills with a medium I am not as experienced with. (I used to only use markers and colored pencils...but there is something SO magical about watercolor. ✨). Thank you so much :)
Thank you so much!!!

Beautiful Very nice video.......
One very important thing you didn't mention is how important 100% cotton wc paper is when using watercolors. Imo, this is the most important tip & I'm not alone in that opinion. Love watching your videos, thank you!
Thanks alot..🌿
OMG this Is beautiful, your way of creativity is so attractive and eye catching. One question if you don't mind can you show us how you sketch and tutorial
You are really talented but also you are great teacher. Your advices reach the point so easy and effortlessly. If only I would be able to not seek a perfection... That sabotages my whole life 😅
Btw every new video I'm surprised you managed to improve once again!
Wow, thank you so much! ❤️ I sabotaged my art for 10 years so no worries 🤣
Awesome
I followed you in Artstation
👌👌....
I love your art! Great Tips!
Are you still living in Germany? I live here near Cologne and I would love to take a class with you!
Excellent tips! Thanks for sharing. I also create my drawings digitally before transferring them and it's hugely helpful, especially when using expensive paper. Have you ever tried printing directly into watercolor paper? I'm going to try but was curious if you have any experience. Thanks so much for the guidance!
Yes, i did! I used a laser printer with waterproof ink and the result was the lines wouldn't be covered by the watercolor or color pencils and remained dark and visible the whole time... 🥴🤦♀️
Thanks so much for getting back to me, I really appreciate it!!! That will definitely help.
How does the Etchr watercolours compare to something like Schmincke Akademie?
I have a really hard time leaving any hard lines. I always find myself blending and overworking the piece.

when you say digital mockups do you mean you print it then out on watercolor paper to color it?
Yes, almost! I print them out and then trace them with charcoal tracing paper onto the watercolor paper! 🥰
