That makes the two of us. I saw the movie, and they kind of completed each other, not to mention Jill always seemed to enjoy his company more compared to Chris's. I know they're not canonically a thing, but I can't blame those starting to ship them together.

I think Dylan is right that they are being used as pawns and that their leaders are corrupt. Remember the ending of Resident Evil: Village, where a soldier tells Chris that the BSAA did not send soldiers, but bioweapons.
I want more RE games like the remakes with these characters running around cities, towns, sewers and labs, solving ridiculous puzzles involving novel parts and tools. Just keep making that.

The real reason why Leon and Jill can't be in a game together is because they would be too strong together. It would turn into Devil May Cry and they would easily body everyone.
You can see that when Jill is with Leon, it's like she's being silly. While being dragged away by the Licker, she points the gun at it but doesn't shoot, but instead waits for Leon to shoot. I mean Jill seems to become feeble when fighting alongside Leon u can watch the scene that Leon holding Jill hand and attack licker😂

Also, what I meant to say is they made the spotlight centered on Jill & Leon most of the time, which makes the rest feel like side characters, not to mention they kind of nerfed Chris a lot. It's like they could actually make the movie with just Jill-Leon duo but still bothered to cast the minor three-at least that's how they look like in this-anyway. And with the good chemistry between the two of them, no wonder they immediately get shipped together despite not having met before.

...the virus strain that Dylan manufactured was specifically designed to be non-transmissible, once it turns the first person into a zombie. That way, the damage cannot spread far beyond the immediate vicinities of the Patient Zeros.

Maybe because the person using the pathogen wants the people close to the main targets to be harmed too, just without the uncontrollable domino effect that can otherwise escalate it to a city or country-wide zombie siege? That would be my guess anyway.

I just feel like Ada is too bad for him, and Claire feels more like a platonic friend who you’ve been through a lot with. Chris and Jill don’t seem to be anything more than trusted partners. Jill and Leon have the most in common and seem to have similar humor and can relate to each other best if they were able to talk to each other. Just my opinion though.

The movie wasn't great. But the animation was incredible, to give it it's fair due.

Anybody else feeling chemistry between Leon & Jill? Chris is gonna die alone at this point while Leon gets all the girls. This bad guy? The movie was great and I loved seeing our heroes all together but the villain kinda fell flat at the last moment. The whole movie he was all "screw the rich and powerful" and at the last moment he kinda just went full genocide mode out of nowhere. Like, I get that they needed an excuse to kick his ass but CapCom knows better than to throw away a good villain. He made a really good point throughout the movie and the opening did a great job of setting up why he's a "bad" guy but then it tosses it all out the window when he just decides to indiscriminately massacre people. It would've been cooler to see him use his weapon on the same people he blames for what happened, then we have a moral debate of whether or not he was in the right. But shooty shooty bang bang with Resident Evil dream team is still awesome. Still, a lot of missed potential for a really deep villain.
Yeah, the villain could have been done better. And Maria was very wasted.

Playing God still strikes a lot of terror Dylan. The definition of terrorism is pretty much inflicting violence and fear for political, religious or ideological gain. And why did you do this? Ideological gain. Terrorist fits nicely. But the thing that is the most horrifying about Dylan I think is how his PTSD manifests. The banging of his cane, the russian roulette, the look of AGONY on his face. I think more than any villain thus far Leon and Chris would sympathize with Dylan. If he weren't a scumbag trying to kill them. Dylan is like the polar opposite of our core 5 protagonists in how he turned out. They all came out of the same fire; the destruction of Racoon City by Umbrella and the incident in the Arklay Mountains outside Racoon City. Those twin fires brought them together as an unbeatable team. They couldn't survive any other way than to band together and FIGHT. But Dylan was all alone. Used up and thrown away. A broken umbrella. A shame he ended up that way really. Even a broken umbrella can still keep out some of the rain. Ask Carlos or Luis. This juxtaposition makes Death Island so much more elegant than Vendetta. Vendetta is just plain fun. But it doesn't have the deeper, somber backstory that makes Death Island so satisfying.

And let's not forget the BSAA's actions concerning covering up the Dulvy incident and using BOWs a few years later during the Village incident only proved Dylan's point about institutional corruption and how Chris and the others were only pawns of those in power.
So, even though Dylan went about it the wrong way of trying to end corruption and greed by trying to carry out a twisted form of justice to atone for murdering his best friend unwillingly, he was still right in the end.

The only thing i don't like about this movie (and Infinite Darkness) is despite the good writing , why do only the villains make good points only to be defeated and their points not considered? I know this tends to happen in a lot of movies now in general, but just saying.
I think Chris did consider Dylan's words when you think about what happens a few years later, seeing the BSAA covering up the Dulvy incident to protect their reputation and Chris becoming distrustful of them as a result until he and his Hound Wolf squad went rogue once it's shown that they became just another corrupt institution.
Let's also consider that Dylan's words no doubt came back to haunt Chris once it was discovered the BSAA was using BOWs to fight bioterrorism, proving the man's point and showing that he's right in the end.

According to the Behind the Scenes, they used Res3 Jill because the remake had recently come out. Thus that design was at the forefront of what people were likely to expect. They did age her a bit.

Ngl I feel like they need to deage some of the cast I don’t think any has a problem with them being older but it’s getting harder to believe Leon Chris doing acrobatics in Boulder punching plus it feels like they still need more games as a protagonist Jill Claire, Rebecca Leon I still feel like they need more
There is only 1 thing i would change. I feel like Jill's voice actor was trying too hard in this. Her lines sound somewhat forced and overdramatized compared to her performance in the video game remake, which sounded more natural.
