When I was 11 years old I met Bob Baker and my mother bought a few of his puppets. Later I learned from Bob how to be a puppeteer and through Bullock's Department store I gave shows at Birthday Parties around LA. My mother drove me and I set a stage at various homes. I did this until I was 14 or so. I am now 84 and I still enjoy seeing puppet shows. My grandchildren still have a few of Bob's original Coco and Bobo. I live in Redlands and it is not easy to visit the Bob Baker Theatre, but I will always have wonder full memories of those dayss, so long ago.
