Thanks you sooo much for this video. I was so tired of curling my hair and straightening it and I could never achieve the look I really wanted. I ran out and got me a curling iron like this one and LOVE it! Game changer!
Great look! And excellent tutorial. The thermal brush is on my list now.
I just adore your videos! I love just a subtle hint of sarcasm, I'm guessing you are hilarious in person 😉
Your hair always looks beautiful! I am wondering if you would do a video on how you trim up your own hair.
I really like this one. I use the two inch barrel rod and get so many compliments from this do. I am going to try a few of your up dos and twists and see how those go. Thanks for sharing with all of us!!
Love you, Kate! Your videos are soooo relaxing. Even if I don't think they apply to me, I still watch them when I need to relax. :-)
You're the best! As always making my life a bit easier! Sephora is all sold out so I got the HOT TOOLS one and I love it! Thanks Kate!!!
Hello! This is such a beautiful look. I've learned a ton just from watching two of your videos. I have naturally curly hair, so I'm always intrigued by the straighter styles. The color and sheen just pops using that brush. I ordered another paddle type brush (and it wasn't cheap) but never quite got the results I wanted. Guess what video I'm going to check out now... ;() thanks so much!
just found amika this weekend at a hair show in Birmingham. Was very impressed! Hope to get some of their products soon!!!
Love love love this look!!!! I gotta try this style!! ❤️❤️❤️
Another great video! I'd like to see a video about how you style your hair to last all day. Maybe you could follow up at the end of the video to show how it held up throughout the day!
Super helpful that you kept it real speed throughout your whole head.
Hey Kate, you have no idea how much I enjoy your videos!! I cant't describe it- it's like watching "a good friend" :)
But you also helped me: after watching almost all your videos I know now that I'm not satisfied with the hairdressers I had before :)
No one gave me tips or really cared for my fine thin wavy hair (and hairloss due to permanent medication), I only get the tip to use daily the GHD on my waves and that ruined my hair :(
Perhaps this brush isn't as hot and "aggressive"?
Please keep making videos as often as you can with your 2 little boys :)
Love from Germany!
I love watching all your videos! Since you cut your hair at home, would you ever film it? I'm a professional stylist also, and I also cut my own hair at home. I would love to know if we had the same techniques
Love your vlogs! Have a great rest of the weekend! 😊
I must have this brush! Does babyliss airstyler 800 do the same. Im not sure what brand to get only have babyliss and remington in my country
Great tutorial thank you! I have fine and thinning hair and I love the blow out look on day 1. For day two so far it's been impossible. I was going to purchase the Stylus until I watched your video. For a voluminous blown out look do you recommend the Amika or the Stylus? Please help thank you so much!
oooh never seen this brush before --i love the finished look!
simply gorgeous! you make it look so easy I might actually give this a try.
is the thermal brush a good tool for fine and flat hair (needing volume)?
I love my blow dry brush! Makes soft curls/waves in no time at all. Don't knock stuff if you haven't tried it
hi! do you have a video of how you prepare your hair in the evening for the next day?? thank you!
Great tool!! I would love to see how your hair is cut! Also what color do they use for your low lights? Thanks for all of your videos!
What color lipstick is that??? It's amazing! Thank you.
Hi Kate! I was wondering if you had any suggestions on how to clean curling irons and straighteners? Mine seem to get grimy pretty quickly! (Oh and I bought a GHD curling iron after seeing it on your channel and I'm in love with it!)
Great timing! Just this morning I was looking for a blowout tutorial.
Can you tell us what brand and color lipstick you have on,in this video?
Hi! Would you say the barrel size is 1.5"? Or smaller?
Thanks!
Love this! I have naturally curly hair but can get it to dry relatively straight but I'm never happy with my ends. I can do a pretty decent blow out but it takes time. This looks so much quicker! What size barrel is this?
Gorgeous look, Kate!
I have short hair, and I use this thermal brush. I wash my hair the night before an let it air dry. It looks so bouncy, and it only takes me 15 mins, as opposed to the 45 mins it used to take me to blow dry. It also looks better than when I blow it out! I love this brush!!
Love your hair length. Keep doing more hair tutorials on this length 😀
Would you say the Hot Tools Ionic Tourmaline Hot Brush is the next best thing for girls on a budget? Or is it worth splurging on the Amika brush?
What shampoo are you using ? Thank you !
love watching you , your like a best friend !! how do you do this , so natural in front of your camera !!!!!! love how you let us know whats going on as you do your hair and make up ! you talk about heat its been in the 100's forever here in Az ! can't wait for Fall I can let my hair down !!!!! Keep doing the tutoriols ......theres always something to teach us about hair and make up ;) Your a JOY to watch .....Thank You
I don't understand how you keep that brush moving, but my hair is thin and really curly so I guess that is the difference?
I need that thermal brush in my life!! My birthday is coming up. I think I am going to get myself a present!!
This is beautiful! However, I'm wondering if this can be accomplished with a round brush and applying heat from the blow dryer to it on dry hair. Hmmm 🤔
Does it work on wavy hair?
I ordered that thermal brush and just got it today. Where has this been all my life?! I used to use the air blowing version but always needed to run a curling iron over it after.
You should get kick backs for this because I'm about to get one for each of my girlfriends.
Hey i'm a new subbie i'm in desperate need of help my hair is so dry and so doll looking and i dont even use heat on it at at all , i just dont know what to do with its making me depressed also becayse i have a problem at the crown of my head it's always splitting and thin looking i can't wear a simple ponytail just cause my ponny looks so dry and crisp looking not bouncy and thin :( and i just cut my ends recently i used all kind of hair masks nothing helps....came across your video about how to fix the head crown ended up watching a few more videos i like you so i subscribed i hope to be able to pick up after your tips and make it work...xx
such a soothing voice. Lovely video, I subbed :)
what is this brush called?
you have great hair. Love all your videos
Great video. I used the Instyler brush iron (bristles are plastic) and doesn't have the chrome base. It didn't work so good. That just slides right thru my fine hair. Maybe that one would work better for thick haired ladies. Looks like Hot tools makes a similar one like this brush for 45
I have one of those blow dryers that resembles your thermal brush. I use it on mostly air-dried hair or on slept-on hair that I've dampened with some water and heat protectant. For me, it works well for smoothing my waves/frizz and bending the ends. (It doesn't blow the hair around too much--the brush holds it in place and the heat from the barrel seems to do most of the work--so it works pretty much like your thermal brush does.).
Thanks for your tutorials, I always learn something that helps me look better!
+Michmash I agree, I use my blow dryer brush quite similarly to yours!!! I let it air dry or dry the next morning after spraying a protectant and then run through with the blow dryer brush. I'll roll it up, let the hair heat and then turn it off to let the hair cool. I get great volume that way and less frizz :-)
I tried using curling brush back in 90s and I would get the hair all tangled around it! but after watching this it makes me want to try it again :)
I have never heard of these thermal brushes. Looks like a really cool tool to have, but it seems fussy. About how long does it normally take from start to finish for you?
can you do a tutorial on curling your hair now that it's long? and an up do please!!!??
Do you think this would work okay with long hair? Wonder if it would get tangled up. I absolutely love your videos and think you're adorable!
So you said you cut your own hair? Do you have a tutorial?? Love your cut
girl I need that. is it linked?
Wow, your hair is so gorgeous. Definitely leave it long :-) ♥ Elle
Totally enjoyed this fake blow out. How do I tell my stylist that will get this hair cut you have? Love your layers.
aaaaw!! i really really really live this tutorial!!!!! I must have such a brush!!!!
Beautiful ty
Such a great video. I've watched it 2ce! :)
Love this!
Another great turtorial! I like how how give options for those who don't own a thermal brush. For my curly, short hair, I use a volumizing spray and a regular curling iron. Not a bad result in the end ;)
All Things Char vgjo
you have the best hair!
You look so pretty today ♥ Great video, as always xo Natalie CANADA
Omg I pay big money to have my hair look this way
Gorgeous !
looks great! thanks n hugs
Love it!
Gorgeous!
I found an affordable alternative at Sally beauty. For 41.99$ the Titanium pro brush iron. It gives my mid back length hair a Kate Middleton style blow out in a little under 10 minutes!
Why fake it? I wonder if hairdressers charge too much in US. (I honestly don't know) In my country you can go to any hairdresser and get a perfect blow out for less than 3 $ in 20 minutes. (And normally a person wouldn't do it every single day so it shouldn't cost too much I suppose.) Just got curious.
first! but also, I haven't blown my hair out in soooo long. it's been too humid all summer. I might try this.
How do you not get your hair stuck in that brush?
Jami Womack f
Love you!
What brand is your brush, I could not understand what you were saying. I am guessing it's professional. Do you recommend an OTC one? Your hair seems thick, is it? Lucky you, it is beautiful!
in her blog it says she uses the amika thermal brush. hope this helps
Rebecca Widnall which exact brush is this, I have to have it now, I do not want to get the wrong one, my hair is fine and I love the way it loves on her hair, looks like it by Sephora, please advise include part number for brush, I love your tutorials, thanks so ,ugh for your prompt response- Mason
I love the result and how you lightened up your hair is very pretty too. The process seems still a bit time consuming to me though? ❤️
indeed, you can't have a good result without time investment, but this technique takes at least 30% of time away. plus you should use 1 instead of 2 tools (hairdryer and brush) to create necessary tension and hot air circulation. And seems hands will get tired much less as i have abundant thin hair which are not easily managed.
Do you still use this heated brush?
This looks amazing! I do a blowout on myself with a brush and blowdryer which looks and feels great but is SO much work. This would save me going through a lot of trouble every day. I missed the name of the brand as well, could you maybe add it (or a link to the product) to the discription box?
It's the amika thermal brush
Thanks! Im from Holland and it's not a known brand here so the name didnt ring a bell lol
I SO wish my hair looked like that in the mornings!
Love your face when you mention the half top knot people are doing! Hahaha! I think it looks so ridiculous! Why is it a trend right now?
You are so beautiful. I Love your videos so much❤️🌷🌷🌹
loved your hair before your even did anything to it
where can you buy one of these?
+Cory Cole That particular one is $100 but I'm sure there are cheaper options at Sally's Beauty Supply, Walmart, Target etc.
Oh ok,thanks for the response!!:)
No view of the back? 😭
I am so loving your long hair to😘
WOW !!!!
Those blow drying brushes WORK. but your right, you have to wait until it is 90% dry
Awesome look on you :)
...yes...
