I am glad warmogs is finally getting a chance to shine. Considering the item has not been built at all for the past 4-5 years, good to see a buff given to a forgotten item.
They will prolly hit the base Regen or heal off cd
Warmogs, Warmogs everywhere.
Im not a theorycrafter but i will share my build.
Support Cho'Gath.
The build is Symbiotic boots > Warmog > Malignance.
Pros of this build:
Cho'Gath is a great option as a support because his "Q" is a knock up with short cd, his "E" is another slow and his "W" can be used to silence the enemies.
When you hit lvl 6 you need to roam, if junglers are in top doing grubs, you are also in top, if someone is low in mid, you go mid.
Don't ask, use "R"
You can use the "R" as an smite for objectives (you can outdamage smite all of the time post lvl 6) or as an execute in lane.
In the mid game you can stack minions or jungle camps (if possible take the blue with "R" but the red is also good as it gives you more healing)
Warmog's passive and Symbiotic boots gives you 500 MS making you a fast roamer and giving you all the healing you need.
You don't need to buy Rylai (your entire kit slows or negates enemies from escaping) so technically speaking is a free item.
You can act as the jungler if your team needs it
Cons of the build:
If you roam a lot your ADC is fighting a 1 vs 2 lane (probably 3 vs 1 if jungler ganks)
You don't use Cho'Gath's passive.
Don't ask me about the runes but probably ultimate hunter for "R" CD.
If someone wants to try it and has an idea of a rune page for this I'm listening to any advice.
You could play Sorcery.
Comet (free dmg if you land Qs) - Manaflow (he's kinda mana hungry early) - Celerity (no MS steroid unlike many others) - Scorch(more poking power)
Conditioning/SW + Overgrowth (good for scaling, i recommend this)/Revitalize (Extra selfheal)/ Unflinching (free Armor and MR).
Though you could try Eyeball Collection + Ultimate Hunter/Relentless Hunter.
With that build in particular, you could also try to sneak in Cashback or Cookies + Jack of all Trades/Approach Velocity.
I did some testing and you get 8 stats for Jack of all Trades with this build: HP, HP regen, mana regen, flat MS, %MS, mana, AP and AH. Armor and MR complete the set.
Mini runes could be: Force/Haste + whatever you want (all 3 work) + scaling hp/tenacity (i dont think you need the extra flat hp)
that only works into some meele support match ups, without the use of his passive cho is straight up garbage vs ranged imagine zyra brand lux xerath as dmg or milio lulu janna karma nami etc,. as peel supp there is basicaly no value of having a cho since his q is one of the slowest spells ever to dodge with quite a limited range
The support role feels uninspired here, you guys could've just said " Rell and Braum also like this setup " and given us an actual second build

I’ve be running symbiotic soles and trailblazer first on nautilus. It makes roaming feel amazing. Get deep vision for a pick. Get low on health, quick recall from soles, refresh wards, and repeat.
The warmogs rush is also very good on Mundo. You just trade and out sustain your lane opponents.
So what y'all think about skarner support and should I try warmog on that or no ?
When will the support course come out?
Warmogs first item on mundo should have been mentioned. You can trade for grasp procs and hang back to heal. Between that, his passive, and ultimate. Youre not running out of health unless the enemy can delete you (good luck).
No heartsteel for skarner?
It's not just leona and rell - if you look a bit deeper, then you are seeing warmogs rush on supports such as maokai, zilean, bard, swain (with glacial in Korea), thresh and soraka too. Damage is just so high in the game and survival on underleveled and underpowered supports is so poor that quite a few one tricks are thinking that survival is the way to go (and sacrifice a bit of heal power, shield power, etc.).
Feeling Rammus and warmogs might be kinda nice

Warmogs feels so op now, used it on Mundo as 1. Item and i felt like i had a fountain on my Lane. The Heal is disgusting.

im singed otp d2 euw, and yes warmog is op on singed, but the runes that are recommended (conqueror) wont work most of the times, singed have many playstyles and with conqueror u will lose most of the matchups if ur above plat and ur new into singed dont play it
So what runes do you recommend ?
it's not op is that the meta in toplane is so obnoxious that you are forced to rush an abnoxious item urself otherwise singed get's bullied out of lane pretty easily
@weylyn_luke8972 but a bullied singed can just go suicide-proxy and still contribute to the team. And force top/jungle/mid to give up cs and xp to stop him. So, you're not really losing anything. Unless your team doesn't know how to take objectives while you're pressuring them.

@@weylyn_luke8972 if u have hard matchup u can go proxy, also there is flash ignite singed that can early stomp and with warmog hes super hard to kill

yeah that build is strong rn, but its flawed
%pen has diminishing returns (her q has 20% armour and mr shred), so the item will be less useful late game when you put points on q
and also, grievous wounds is more effective against a build made for stacking hp/sustain on briar, that's the beauty of eclipse and steraks, its a safenet for people fucking up your survivability
For singed you want to rush warmogs, with proper runes and dorans ring start you proc warmogd passive as a standalone item.
not all matchups warmog rush good.
Don't do that into vayne or mundo. Or you're going to have a bad time.
@keldor8302 not really, warmogs rush is about quick trades clearing a wave then backing out to full hp before next wave hits. Singed doesnt want to fight early, proxy bad matchups giving your lane opponent an ultimatum...miss all farm to turret or get a kill. Eventually you win out on gold through plates as your minions are always crashing. If they go for kills on you, you quickly become worthless to them with the new bounty/feeding mechanics. Once you have warmogs you're essentially unkillable in the side lanes without being outnumbered and you're still putting up the ultimatum only making it that much more of a bad choice to chase you with the ridiculous regen and your innate ability to escape through use of goo and fling. Your ultimate gives tank stats that give that warmog health pool additional value.
So even in tank matchup like skarner that doesn't have too much lane sustain, you still don't go liandries for burn damage?
@peepers4082 you can, but skarner is still likely to trade even with you in skirmishes and also likes to rush warmogs in current patch. Liandries can give you more damage early but you're not usually leaving lane on singed until post-14 where you're just about if not already at 2 items. Which liandries would be your 2nd if you started warmogs. 3rd item you're looking at riftmaker to make use of all that health.
recommending people run alacrity on zeri when you get max AS off boots + zeal item is boosted af, at that point its a completely wasted rune when you could be getting 5% lifesteal from bloodline

Can we talk about why does everyone take eye collector rune? I started taking the rune of ad per wards (don't remember the exact name)
It's way easier to stack during lane phase! I'm starting to see that I already have 5 stacks of AD from this rune while having kda of 1/1/2 or so
Which means that if I were to have eye collector I'd be having only 3 extra AD
Bro people building black clever before blade kills me especially in the top lane since your attack speed is so low and steal isn’t good enough for a full health 1v1
So just rush warmogs on every champ, got it.

It depends on the match. Hail is better when laning against someone with dashes or escape. To ensure you get as close as you can to blowing up the explosive. Pta is better into matches where the enemy lane doesn't have the mobility to get away from you.

Its buildpath sucks, and passive is a little weak but it gives a lot of good stats. It is almost like botrk now, you mostly but it for stats, not effectsm
